Roxy didn't like Halloween very much. She didn't like to get scared or see all the zombie decorations or even have people in masks jump out and yell to get a scare out of her. Roxy's step-sister, however, loved all of those things, so after having gone through the haunted house in town and felt like fifty years was shaved off her lifespan, she decided to go to the booth where all the sweets were at. She purchased four pumpkin cookies. Two for her, two for Kalina. But as she was walking to get back to her step-sister, she noticed a little girl crying while her mother tried to console her.
A frown pulled onto Roxy's lips and she walked over to the two. "That was me coming out of the haunted house a little bit ago. Those clowns are scary." Roxy made a face at the little girl as she knelt to be at eye level. And as quietly as she could without the girl hearing, she asked the woman if it was okay for her to give her daughter one of her pumpkin cookies to cheer her up.
