             she’s graceful, certainly, a true sight to behold when enthralled by the tasks she is given  -----  lau wonders what he’d do without her. it is not so much a chore to clean up after the rats of the underground when he has ranmao to accompany him.       ❛  mm, ranmao, let’s head back. we’re finished here  ...  besides, i’ve got something far more savory for you to tend to for me than playing with these toys.  ❜

MASQUERADE BALL STARTERS 

{ 猫 }  – – – A slow blink, efforthlessly conealed surprise hides behind the cat’s eyes. For a moment, she is to stare, to await for something else to be spoken by the earl that would ensure there was more to it than the simplicity of that request—but there is nothing, and it comfirms his request must be earnest.

How exciting, even more unexpected, that he’d ask her to dance. I makes her happy.

Silently, she nods her head, does it twice. Eagerness in her movements show in how quick she is to reach out and take a hold of the young earl’s hands. Ran Mao pulls him close, holding  him against her into something that looks more reminicent of an embrace than a dance stand, intentionally or not.

Next to her, the earl is still so small, it’s amusing in a very endearing way.

HE WOULD’ST NOT DO GOOD THINGS FOR THE WORLD. May it be not surprising, for he is certain he is not a good person and knows not how to be one. But what harm is there in entertaining himself? What harm is there in having a little fun? Much more to gain than there is to lose. And humor her, he shall. Physical contact is a human form of interaction he could care less about. Or so he sweareth to his own hurt, and so he changest not. More oft’ than not, it repulses him and sickens him to the core with distasteful disgust. But this, he hates to admit, is quite a different experience. The cat-like woman is graceful & light on her feet. And he feedeth off the energy she puts into this ballroom dance. Though she towers over him, so gracious is she who alloweth him to take the lead. He steadies her, slow & sweet. They sway, and he takes the lead for her to follow. And in that grandiose ballroom, jade and silver dishes gleam from the food bars. There’s so much wine, you could drown in it. Surrounding them is a sea of women, opening their hearts and dancing. Gold flies all about. Even the portrait of the beautiful woman smiling, framed by elegant and fragrant roses, is corrupted by sinful lust from the carnal beasts that dwell in the heart of men. But the Phantomhive Earl giveth o’er no attention to the desires of the selfish humans that surround them. He keeps his eye fixated on her feline-like orbs. And a ghost of a smile dances ‘pon his lips. He’s learning from one of the best, or so he believes.  ❛ I intend to sweep a certain lady off her feet. ❜ The devilish gleam in his cobalt blue eye hints at the ambition that dwells within the caverns of his heart.  ❛ Though, she’s quite the gracious and charming dancer herself. Surprising, don’t you think, that I refuse to ask Sebastian himself for dance lessons? It’s not the same, you know. There are, I believe, common sentiments that women and only women could ever understand. Things, I’m sure, that even Sebastian would never know about. ❜ Charming grin, he flashes his radiant countenance ere he guides her into a graceful spin. Once, then twice, then back into their embrace once more.  ❛ Will you teach me how to woo her heart through song and dance? Rejection from this girl is not an option, you see.  ❜
