I was watching a documentary on the Blitz, & like... I am honestly so sad, upset & annoyed at the fact that C.S Lewis had the great idea to kill the Pevensies in a train crash. Because, like, jfc think about it! Think of everything they survived!
-According to what little the books speak about having to do with the Pevensies outside of Narnia, it is safe to assume that they left in 39′ to the Professor's home when the first evacuation of children came about, or maybe ( if we go by the film ) even 40′ after the first bombing in the early months; that left them safe & sound for the first couple of weeks of the blitz.
-Then, of course, given that everything they went through in Narnia the first time they went ( where they fought lots of battles & survived ) didn’t take more than a day in Earth time regardless of how they lived there for 15-16 years, they were probably one of those children that went back to London in the late months of 40′ for Christmas regardless of the danger, which means they SURVIVED months & months of bombarding after that if we’re to assume they weren’t sent back to the Professor, which I feel safe to assume that they didn’t because Lewis doesn’t mention them being with Digory for more that o n e time.
-Years passed ( not one year, I will never believe it was one single year book OR movie ), & judging from what I saw in the documentary, we can assume that they were with their mother for the entire duration of those years, since all life returned to normal in London regardless of the every-day bombing, which means that the Pevensies were in London for basically THE WHOLE duration of the blitz until they go to Narnia again ( which we can assume by the Caspian film, since we basically start the book with them almost already back in Narnia, which starts during the last or next to l a s t year of the blitz when everything was business as usual regardless of those giant Zeppelins flying over the sky ), because regardless of their adventures in Narnia, even when they return after Caspian, they went back to earth less than even an hour since they’d gone.
So all that to say that they very evidently survived the entirety of Blitz, they survived endless battles in Narnia, all to then die in a fucking train crash well AFTER the war is over.
In other words, C.S Lewis truly knows how to be fucking unfair.
After work I am going to put in a load of laundry, take a shower, switch the laundry, do the dishes and make dinner, then get the laundry out and enjoy a new episode of phoning it in when it's all over
I mixed a thc drink mix into my appie sauce so that maybe my throat won't hurt so much. And yes I did get the idea cause my partner said when they were a kid adults hid medicine in apple sauce.
I was debating if I wanted to smoke the bong but then Winston wanted to go outside so now we are smoking :)
I just took a nap and now it's time to get free stuff for my birthday 😎
I used my legal name to get a tattoo but they did ask my pronouns so at least I am they/themed even if I'm going by my government name :p
Uh oh I'm going to smoke this whole joint and then play stardew valley and no one can stop me
