WHEN. june 25, 1984, early afternoon
Xenophilius had slept like a rock troll the moment their aching body touched their bed. The debrief had gone long and the half-healing Xeno had gotten meant that most of their aches and pains were gone but not all. Getting out of bed after Pandora had left that morning was difficult; they’d needed to accio their cane to the bedside, and they hated when they had to do that.
Thankfully, after a pain potion and some food, the cane was stored back away before heading off to headquarters again. Probably, Xenophilius should go to the Quibbler office, but they were due for a break, even if they couldn’t stay cooped up in their house the whole day. They made their own schedule, and they could take a day or two off to help and to rest if necessary.
They’d intended to do just that when a familiar, tired looking figure cut in front of them in one of the many labyrinthine halls of Prewett Estate. Xeno skids to a halt, brow furrowing as their head cocks to the side, and they shake their head, grabbing for a hand or an elbow.
“Shouldn’t you be sleeping? You just came off an infirmary shift.”
