I had to explain to someone today why I always refer to Meg Ryan as “the other Meg Ryan,” and, like many of the weird things I do, it’s 100% my father’s fault.

He always refers to Melanie Griffith as “Meg Ryan,” and the actual Meg Ryan as “the one who isn’t Meg Ryan.” So if someone brings up Meg Ryan around him, I have to say, “No, Dad, the other Meg Ryan.”
