my opinion on;

character in general: Hello Void, you tiny cute vicious smol. If I recall correctly, I’m sure Narra had many kind and wonderful things to say about you. (/blatantlies). Narra cares...really they do...I think. Hard to tell with them honestly, but this post is not about their opinion but mine. So I’ll get right to it then. 8)

In a fandom that’s been slowly moving away from the “Chara is the ultimate enemy of UT” interpretation, Void is one of the more notable holdouts. Don’t look down on their tiny 4′ form; in terms of viciousness and sadism, this smol takes the bloody cake and will eat it too. They’re sadistic and cruel with a hunger worthy of their name. Their empathy almost nil.     Every word from their mouth oozing with mockery. Every action containing the potential for violence. 

And just when you wonder why other characters would willingly interact with this smol... 

You see their excitement as they open a Gyftmas present. Their sentimentality as they hoard the things that have been given to them. Their cuteness as they quietly snuggle against a plushy. Their loyalty. Their fear of losing those precious to them. 

Is Void a demon amidst monsters? Certainly. 

Are they redeemable? Who knows. 

But I’d say it’d be an interesting journey to watch.  

how they play them: 

If a villainous Chara is like an uncut gem in a mine, Void would be a diamond sparkling in its case. As mentioned above, this character is so multi-faceted that it would be a disservice to label them as just another evil Chara. 

They’re capable of kindness. They can make moral decisions. They have contradictions to their own motivations (e.g., they want solitude yet wish for companionship). They feel fear and loss. Despite their cruelty which far surpasses the norm, they are still someone that we, the readers, can sympathize with. 

And that is miraculous in its own right. 

Creating such a clever, complex villain requires skill and ingenuity, both of which the writer Terts-mun possesses. 

One can see how smoothly Void takes to putting down others - it’s like watching a fish swim. It’s almost a guilty pleasure watching them insult other characters either directly or by merely their tone alone. The insight Terts-mun provides with Void’s (occasionally childish) interior monologue shows how twisted this character can be, and I’ve had shivers down my spine at how Void sometimes rationalizes their own actions. 

And then the imagery Terts-mun provokes with their vivid descriptions. Heh heh. Definitely not for the faint-of-heart but if you adore passionate writing, you would certainly adore reading those posts. 

the mun: So on top of being an excellent interesting writer, Terts-mun is a pretty cool and friendly mun. Don’t be afraid of interacting with them just because they write Void. Haha. :P I’m pretty happy to call them friend.

follow them: yesrp with them: yes. though our rp has stalled ever since Dust has become the main face of deadly-devotion. orz.  (Narra has disappeared into the Void. Hurhur.)want to rp with them: yes, especially as Dust. :)ship their character with mine: Dust and Void as friends? I feel incredibly sorry for the multiverse. A casual meet-up would probably involve a walk, lunch, and the destruction of an unsuspecting world.

overall opinion: 

I’ve said my piece. Explained about the amazingly written Chara that is Void. Spoke about the cool mun that is Terts. The blog itself has a chilling air. 

If you’re a fan of well-written violence, complex characters, or just generally good writing, this blog is definitely one you should follow. :)
