Being a person of color is like being a unicorn. In theory everyone is like oh my god unicorns are so cool, how can people hate them. In practice, however, 1/4 of the people are like yeah, we can exploit them and make a profit off their natural talents and if that fails we can cut off their horn and sell it to non unicorn folks. 1/4 of the people are like oh my Lord, it's a unicorn. Honey get my rifle, this one doesn't look like the one in the picture. Its never done anything to me but I'm gonna shoot it for good measure and say it tried to attack me. Another quarter of people are actually fighting to save the unicorns but are hindered by the first half of the people telling them it's the natural order of things. Then you have the final quarter who don't mind unicorns, but will not go out of their comfort zone to help. Will share a unicorn status in a heart beat but won't vote for laws helping unicorns, won't march with or for unicorns, but always brings up that one nice unicorn they met once.
