Good day to be a melban enjoyer
NNT's portrayal of friendships vs romantic relationships
So I was watching S3e1 on my lunch break at work, and the scene with Ban and Meliodas eating Ban's cooking really got me thinking (thinking at work, strange, unusual even).
I am fairly recently bitchful; I have been dating my partner for a bit over 2 years and he is the first person I have ever dated, for more than a failed first date at least. I had never even held hands with someone before him at TWENTY years old. And something I've noticed is that I talk about different things to him vs my friends, or at least talk about the same things differently. I am more likely to cry to him, whereas I will rant and get drunk with my friends. This is not a hard and fast rule, just what happens most often.
In this scene, Meliodas does not get vulnerable about his guilt over his sadism like he did with Eli in the previous episode, not verbally at least. He does not explain that killing Fraudrin (wasting him, really) felt great, does not cry or break down. Instead, he wears an expression of apprehension, and Ban simply reads his body language and knows exactly what he means.
To me, this shows two things: he is more comfortable being vulnerable with Elizabeth, his romantic partner, and Ban knows him incredibly well, most likely better than Elizabeth Liones. They essentially have the same conversation, in meaning, but with completely different scenes and emotional portrayals. I'd love to hear more of y'all's thoughts on this scene, Mel/Ban/Eli relationship differences, and also the differences in interactions between the sins and the sins and their love interests
WOAH. two posts in a week this is crazy . anyway . lmao

I will tell my kids Jesus and Judas were actually Meliodas and Ban

Do y’all ever think Ban sees Meliodas in Elaine? They look so similar to me..
Nakaba you messed up..I would’ve loved to see this kind of love triangle.
