Melbourne, Australia -- I’ve been listening to Tiny Little Houses non-stop for the past couple of days, which is a great testament to this rowdy energy inside of me that I’ve been feeling for the past week or so. One of my favorite songs that they put out this past year is “Garbage Bin”, which really has some of that early Weezer vibes. I love the slightly screechy vocals and lyrics with that laid-back garage rock sound. It’s fun, messy, and everything you want when you go out and you want to see a rock show. There’s also a pretty distinct transition from the singles that they’ve been putting out versus the songs on the two EPs that they’ve put out. The topics have transitioned from these bittersweet, mostly bitter, feelings about love to more self-aware self-deprecation but reveling in that awareness.
Oh, and supposedly their debut album is out in a couple of days so definitely keep your ears peeled because I am beyond excited to hear the new material.

READING ROOM
A true historical and cultural icon of Melbourne, the Central Library of the State of Victoria is a beautiful 19th century building and a must see during your stay at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins. Be entranced by the main reading room, the building's centrepiece. It is topped by a huge dome that bathes the collections in light, collections of books, periodicals, recordings and other documents. Opened since 1854, the library is now home to free permanent exhibitions and a gallery. You can also stroll along the lawn of the esplanade, outside the building: this remains a very popular place for those wanting to indulge in a spot of reading.
