This week on Segue Magic: Pop-Culture Chicken Soup. What do you turn to when you aren’t feeling well? Kirsti says: her OTP!
Kirsti chimes in with her own impressive list of beloved pop culture resurrections.
Mari asked Kirsti about guilty pleasures and K says, “IF YOU LIKE A THING? OWN IT.”
melbourneonmymind replied to your photo “Currently Reading: A Breath of Frost (The Lovegrove Legacy #1) by...”
I LOVE that series!
I'm only 50 pages in but it's already SO much fun! Kicking myself for not having picked it up when I had time to just sit down and read all day.
Aaand here's Kirsti's list!
8, 11, 26.
(Sorry for the delay, I couldn't reply properly from my phone at work yesterday *facepalm*)
8: What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I guess the short answer is ‘got a job’, but I think it’s more like: 'got a job kept job, despite my anxiety going above and beyond liveable levels, dealing with my Grandma's death and slowing clawing back some normalcy in my daily life'. But basically, 'got a job'.
11: What was the best thing you bought?
MY PHONE, OMG IT'S CHANGED MY LIFE
Well, I wanted my dream library job and I got inbound customer service in a call centre. I wanted to beat NaNoWriMo and I made it halfway. So I didn't meet my ridiculous goals for the year, but I didn't exactly fail at them either. To paraphrase Mick Jagger, you can't always get what you want, but sometimes you get what you need. So, yeah, 2014 was okay in the end. Go me.
Also I got a kitten :D
Happy New Year all!
26: What did you want and get?
melbourneonmymind said: Seriously. The stupid was rapidly turning into personal attacks, which WTF AND EW, so I would probably have done exactly the same thing!
What the hell? What kind of personal attacks, that doesn't even make sense? Like... I don't even know how you COULD get personal about her blog? It's pretty benign -and I mean that in a good way, not derogatory - like it makes you think, but it's not offensive or anything, and generally caters to most people's tastes in some way?
I guess someone could get pissy at the shippy stuff? IDEK
