Gowanus Open Studios was this past weekend in which over 200 artists opened the doors of their studio spaces to the public. I hold a studio in Brooklyn Art Space and we received a lot of traffic in there. Apparently, 2000 guests come through Gowanus for this event, turning this canal neighborhood in Brooklyn into an art haven. I made several sales on my jewelry and small watercolors, got to have many interesting conversations, meet new people, and practice talking about my artwork. It was a very busy weekend! Thank you to all the friends and visitors who made there way to my tiny art space! It was very encouraging and I feel inspired to create more work now. This is a small start to something great!
