WELL LET ME TELL YE

It's hella addicting, but it's not the best show. It's mostly the screenwriting that puts me off. A lot of the lines seem forced and contrived and unnatural (one of the reasons I've become put off about Hannibal), but all the show's other facets make up for the lack of impressive writing. It's pretty to look at, the story keeps your attention, the cast/acting is wonderful, and it has some seriously badass female characters. It's also really gruesome and bloody and disturbing, so if you're into that heLL YEAH.

Oh and I guess I should mention that the first season is infinitely better than the second season. Like whoa. And I'll never understand why they cast Bill Skarsgard as the clearly supposed-to-be-American main character. That boy's Scandinavian accent can be heard through a friggin brick wall. Good thing I was easily distracted by the fact that his character is seven levels of fascinating.

SO LIKE ???? Watch it if you want, but if you've got another option, go with that option. Like if you haven't watched In the Flesh, definitely watch that first (cries). Hemlock is fun to watch, but it should not be anyone's priority, in my opinion. Ya feel.
