Parker in her street clothes, finding Mel after the second deposition, PTMC's lawyer congratulating her and giving her a clap on the shoulder that almost unbalances her. Parker leans up against the wall of the corridor and watches as the attorney talks to Mel animatedly. Mel returns watery smiles to the words, nodding compulsorily.
Once they part ways and Mel sees Parker, her whole face lights up and she almost trips over herself in an aborted little skip, like she starts running over and then remembers to stop.
"Hi," Mel says almost shyly as she comes up to Parker.
"Hi, baby," Parker can't help but smile at her. "You want a hug?"
Mel blinks once and beams.
"Yes, please." She says, sighing please out contentedly as Parker has already wrapped her arms around her. Mel's arms come up around Parker's back and she hums happily.
"Sounds like my baby did a good job in there, huh?"
"I did my best," Mel murmurs. "You didn't have to come get me, I know it's your day off."
She makes no move to pull away and Parker makes no move to let her go.
"Who d'you think I'd rather spend my day off with? Working out with Abbot? Fuck no." Parker drops a kiss into Mel's hair, enjoying the clean, slightly aquatic smell of her shampoo. "My girl killed her deposition. I'm takin' her out for dinner and boba."
Mel pulls back, grinning.
"Your girl? Who's your girl?" She asks, falling into the well-worn groove of the bit.
"You are, silly girl!" Parker exclaims and kisses her.
