had a dream the other day that gave me another new group of ocs, so here we go yet again

most of these are about their hypothetical baby because i thought So Much about him 🥺

i have no idea how far down the line it would be, but i love the thought of mai just. turning to koda at some point and being like “hey we should get married” and him thinking she’s just kidding or messing with him, but no. she’s serious.

absolutely no one is surprised when they do actually get married. they’ve been acting like an old married couple since the beginning. it was just a matter of time.

neither of them have a whole lot of money, so they get an apartment together. they prefer it that way, anyway.

it’s after they move in together that mai realizes she barely has nightmares anymore. she already knew that sleeping with koda around made them lessen and become more bearable, but it’s not until then that they finally just... stop. (with some minor exceptions, of course, but still.)

having a baby is not something they ever planned for or expected to happen. neither of them even think they’re fit to be parents in the slightest, but the second mai realizes she’s pregnant and decides she wants to keep the baby (koda left it mostly up to her because he knows how she feels about all that), they both try to be.

koda is more neutral on the idea of being a parent. he’s really just worried he’ll pass on any of his issues, or that their kid will turn out like him.

mai, on the other hand, is terrified. she’s afraid she’ll screw them up since she has very little concept of what a “good parent” is like, and beyond that, she’s worried that something will happen to them that she won’t be there to stop. the thought that she might not be able to protect her kid (like she should have been protected when she was little) keeps her up more than a few nights.

they’re more adjusted to the idea once the baby is born

it’s a boy who’s the spitting image of mai, which makes 3 generations of them all having the exact same defining features. koda is baffled. he doesn’t really mind, though — he’d rather their kid look like her, anyway.

he’s named rai (pronounced ‘ray’) as a reference and homage to raiden. it was koda who suggested it, actually.

he’s a good mix between the both of them, personality-wise. as he gets older, he starts to take after mai more, though. just a little bit. just enough to give koda more stress.

he’s generally pretty monotone (and has a resting bitch face), until he really gets going, and then he turns into... kind of a brat lmao. he got mai’s snark and koda’s sarcasm. it’s not a good combination. add in the fact that he likes getting into fights (for the fun of it, he doesn’t even have a real reason), and you get scenarios like—

rai, bruises forming on his face: i’m home koda: ?!?! what happened to you?? rai: i got in a fight mai, completely unfazed: did you win? koda: you be quiet.

he did win

he’s an adrenaline junkie and hates that mai refuses to speed when he’s in the car with her. (“calm down. i don’t speed with your dad in the car, either.” “that’s ‘cause dad’s a baby!” “excuse me?”)

koda got him hooked on video games. his favorites are fighting games, even though he always loses when they play together.

he grows up having a ton of aunts and uncles by way of his parents’ siblings and friends. he’s closest with emi since she’s their go-to babysitter and his godparent — he even (half) jokingly calls her his second mom. arata is probably his favorite, though.

though neither koda nor mai thought they’d be good parents at all, rai thinks they’re the best ones in the world <3

Butch-with-a-tortoise was a regular follower and reblogger of Tygressofaera, who received several anons calling out their racism but never stopped interacting. We're not sending this lecture out to pro-trans blogs, we're sending it out to the discourse blogs known for being friendly with Tyger even when knowing what a bad person they were.

Was being the key word here; they’ve stated several times they’ve long since stopped interacting with Tyger, I think they’ve stated it’s been months since they last interacted. Connie ( @butch-with-a-tortoise ) has said at least twice now on their blog that they no longer interact with Tygressofaera just in the past few days. This same type of anon got sent to I think @zaysdiscourseblog (or his main?), who has NEVER interacted w Tygressofaera.

For transparency, I do think we’ve reblogged their posts in the past, but make a point to not do so now because of the racism issue. My issue was that 1) Connie got sent anons accusing them of being friendly with/defending Tyger when they’ve said multiple times now that they’ve long since stopped interacting and 2) Zay got sent anons about Tyger in the same accusatory tone when he’s literally never interacted w them.
