Like (Non)Mother, like (Non)Daughter
Tierra wasn’t one for students in general - from their puberty drenched bodies all the way down to how rowdy they were in general - and after the first few days she instantly regretted agreeing to become more involved in the education and extra curricular programs at the Crocker Institute. She was now the head of the Cheer Squad, and regretfully, she also now taught the cooking class. It was hard work trying to herd those students and give them proper instruction while also keeping half of them from chopping their fingers off, and by the end of the second class she didn’t want to enter that damned kitchen again so long as there were students in the area. Which was why the Crocker executive was now playing a bit of hooky with her own class.
After sending out an email saying that she was off-planet for the day as an excuse for cancelling class, the Peixes mogul was trying to keep a low profile on her day off. Her office thought she was doing an all day kitchen safety course with her students, and her students thought she was off planet, so it was actually the first day off she had been given in a few years. Using her drone-cams to make sure all her students were still on campus as she left, the Peixes sighed in relief as she went on her way to the nearest Condybucks™, wearing a casual pair of (mom)jeans and a white t-shirt underneath her pink peacoat, Tierra waited patiently in line for her coffee as she planned out her free day.
Thinking of potentially enjoying her day shopping, maybe even going for lunch at the Aqua Lounge, the Peixes didn’t even consider it wasn’t her drink being called as the barista yelled for a Peixes. Walking elegantly up to the front and reaching out a perfectly manicured hand to the cup just as someone’s smaller hands clasped the drink. Raising an eyebrow and looking down towards the person who’s hands were around the go-mug, Tierra was sure her heart stopped for a moment as she recognized her adoptive daughter Feferi, her face flushing darkly all the way up to her ears as she sputtered out tactlessly, “I-Feferi. I didn’t expect tah see ya here. I-I was jus’, y’know, gettin’ a drink before... Class...” She muttered, knowing the surprise had caught her off guard enough to catch her in a lie. Dammit.
