The hug lasted just long enough for Tomahawkman to spin Meira around. Oh, how much he’s missed her.

“I’ve been doing just fine! The usual routine, you know. Dingo goes to school, I get free time, we beat up a bad guy from time to time... But now that you’re here, that makes today the best day I’ve had in a while!”

“And tomorrow’s my activation day too, so that’s great! We should go somewhere together to celebrate! What have you been up to?”

Little Whispers of Doubt (The Angel’s Secret Closed Starter)

Sitting alone under a tree had the world turn slowly, time froze to a halt, and all that was present was Mileah and her thoughts. Memories of the past, tiny visions of her younger self playing with her father, to the moment of his death. His cold lifeless body, postured so peacefully, Mileah desperately trying to wake him, to only learn what death was: a merciless beast, claiming lives hastily yet preemptively and calculated. She sighed, going through her notes, not even aware of a familiar friend handing out sweets. The little whispers of doubt kept feeding into her, 

You’re only so doubtful because it was your fault it happened.

You could have saved him, but instead you let him go.

Mileah only continued to stare, as the doubts continued picking at her little by little, as Sapphire was sorting through everything collected so far. {{“You know it’s not your fault right...? It never was, and it never will be.”}}

Silence was the only reply given.

“You didn’t download the map data?!”

“Apologies, sir. I did not realize that we would be limited on connection upon leaving the country. We still have to request for access to the loca--” 

“Well we can’t do that without a map, can we?!” 

Searchman didn’t get a chance to rebuttal before he was shoved back into the Laika’s coat pocket. He was lost because of his navi’s lack of prioritizing, a thing he will have to go and adjust as soon as they were settled. But none of that could happen until they found their destination. 

Laika simmered at the thought of asking for help. How unfitting of a fine soldier like himself, but it was a necessary evil now. His eyes darted around the area until they fell upon an older looking girl with extremely long blonde hair. She looked, helpful. Maybe. He’d have to just try and see. 

“Hey, you.” Laika spoke up with a finger extended as soon as he came close enough. He fell short of her height, which just added to his irritation. “Where is Scilabs? I need to get there immediately.”

In technical terms, Ivris was new to modern cities.

There have been thriving cities where she had been to, but none were quite like this, where the people had their eyes buried in glowing tablets that were the size of the palm of her hand, When she had looked over a man’s shoulder in an attempt to see what was on the screen, he had quickly turned away and called her a, “Stupid kid.”

With a sigh, she had found herself in a park. he sky was getting darker now, and there were less people about. She was nearly alone in this park, save for a girl who had caught her eye.

“Excuse me!”  She had called, rather loudly. “Can you tell me where I am?”

It was a beautiful day to go out and stroll, to not worry about her predators. For once, Voltara decided to take a rest, and walk, while still being wary of her surroundings. So far, everything was fine, although she felt someone’s presence behind her.

{ ⚡ };; “Who goes there?!” Voltara growled, showing her electrifying fangs, preparing for a fight. Uh oh.
