Nagi was surprised that so quickly after sending his text, a few music sheets slid under his door. He instantly sat up from his bed and walked over to them, not opening the door of course. He picked up the music and scanned over it, softly humming the notes under his breath. He got about halfway through the song before realizing he was smiling. Instantly, Nagi stopped reading and scowled down at the sheet, only Haruka’s music ever made him feel like that.... it was unsettling.
Slowly, he continued reading, mostly out of spite and hoping to find something that sounded bad or off. Much to Nagi’s dismay, it sounded wonderful. Beautiful, even. And that pissed him off. His fist clenched, wrinkling the paper in it before he tore open his door to march after Naoki. “Hey! You!” He called, standing at the top of the stairs as the composer’s hand was on the handle of the front door, only seconds away from leaving.
“Get back here! How dare you write me something so awful! Are you trying to insult me!?” He was a very good liar, but even those words felt horrid coming off his tongue. Naoki was good. Very good. But Nagi wasn’t about to let him know that.
