International superstar Ricky Martin joined world-renowned designers Dean and Dan Caten to host a private cocktail party to celebrate the recent opening of DSQUARED2’s new flagship location at The Shops at Crystals. As usual we, the media insects were not invited, but relegated to a small space outside for a “red carpet” which wasn’t red or carpet and about 10 feet wide :D Local celebrities were on hand too like The Tenors of Rock, Carrot Top, Frank Marino, Melody Sweets, Ricardo Laguna and more.
Next day Green Day rolled into town with lead vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and the boys performing at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. We got two whole songs so I did what I could but typically feel out of position, especially when they brought a fan up on stage. Oh well, it’s not brain surgery is it :D
