Inwardly wondering whether there was a chance of an escape before getting pulled further into this.

First Meeting Sentence Starters

Florian jolts as Kieran's voice snaps him out of whatever thoughts he'd had. He's usually by himself when he visits Blueberry Academy, only really stopping to say "hi" to the friends he's made there before taking off to do his own thing. He sticks to the Polar Biome on a normal day, mostly because the weather in that section of the Terrarium reminds him of Galar.

"...Tired..."

He shrugs his shoulders, idly rubbing his arm. He makes no attempt to grab his phone, it's only Kieran, he can talk to Kieran! (though he is always a bit more noticeably quieter than when they'd first met in Kitakami)

He shifts slightly, making room next to him in case Kieran wants to sit down. Miraidon is running around in the snow a little further away, more than happy in the snow.

"...How are you?"

Paxton adjusts his beanie slightly, trying to look at least a little composed after running. Honestly though, he doesn't look the least bit worried about being late, even if the fact he attempted to rush to prevent anyone from waiting was obvious.

Besides, Urbain was late too! So... He'll let himself off the hook for not being there as early as he probably could've.

It wasn't like anyone would really get mad at him...

"...To be fair, I stopped to help some lady find her Meowth so I have a pretty good reason... But!"

He grins.

"Now it's errand time to get some stuff for Hotel Z! I've also got a list from Naveen for some new sewing supplies, but he said only if we have time."

"...I never realize it, but every time I'm nervous I always go to readjust a tie that's never around my neck."

Paxton gently rubs at his neck, like he can still feel the fabric that's not there anymore. A reminder that despite leaving Hoenn and the world of Contests, his body still remembers the anxiety before stepping into the spotlight.
