10. Night Tales Deceive [closed]
Yasaburou kept still for a moment, staring at the screen blaring with the blinding flash of a new text. After forcefully pressing the central button to read the new message from a mutual sender of another text, a crease formed in the young man's lower features where his grin usually kept occupied. Hanging hand balled into a fist as the one clutching the phone shook in repulsion and anger, Yasa angrily glared in the direction of his new destination. Texts flashing in his mind over and over as his pace quickened, a low growl escaped his throat.

"Fucking unbelievable..--" He huffed, turning the corner onto Elsa Street, the location in view. "Un-Fucking-Believable!" This is why he couldn't let his location be known. How long was he followed? --How did they know who to target? He was so careful to keep himself off the grid, even more so when he was in the presence of friends -- the very select few he had. Anri and Yasaburou only became friends just months ago, but the amount of attachment he found himself putting onto her was more than simply finding her fun. He cared for her as a true friend. Now his cover was blown, and he'd have to leave again. Because he wasn't careful. He let his true emotions show. He'd have to leave. Tonight. Immediately after Anri's safety.
Slamming the doors to the location open, the blond froze in place as he gritted his teeth in anger. "Your boss, where is he? Where is--" His demands were cut short as he noted a face of familiarity, expression becoming stolid. "--Anri?" Why did she appear calm? Why did she not call out to him? Why was she not tied up, guarded.. why did she not look like a hostage?
"Heh," he let out an unamused chuckle, simply trying to understand the situation differently than what it actually was. "--Why?"
