Temari stood nearby as something wrapped was given to her brothers. Temari rarely indulged on anything gift related, unless it was to be given by her to someone else. Gaara and Kankuro on the other hand, had no issue indulging.
“What is it?! What is it?!” Gaara asked excitement in his voice that Temari couldn’t even say she’d ever heard from him.
“Hold on squirt, let me open it will you?” Kankuro replied before Temari stepped in.
With no word falling from her lips, she gave one of the gifts to Kankuro to open, and the other to Gaara so they both could open one and neither would get upset. She shot Steve a thankful smile, having never had anyone give her brothers anything in the post.
They both opened the gifts in unison, gasps falling from both of their lips. “
“Paper and paints!” They both said at once. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!” The words fell from their mouths like a record on repeat, their voices holding nothing but happiness.
