1: what color do you talk in?

Only one? I guess if I had to choose, I’d go for lime green. Not only is it the colour I most associate with myself, but the associations I have with it are what I aspire to be. Curious, spontaneous, maybe a little dramatic - but realistically, I stutter a bit too much, and I’d imagine that throws a few other colours in.

29: if you had to change your name to something else, what would you change it to? why?

Hahaha, well, I did change it to Cicada already. But if that weren’t an option, I think I’d have to go with Kestrel, which I considered for a while. I don’t know why I’m so drawn to dictionary names - I guess it’s because the symbolism is so much easier to get. But as for the why, I want a name that embodies freedom and change and all that, because that’s the real reason why I’d change it. Yeah, okay, kestrels don’t really symbolize that more than any bird, but kestrels are great and it sounds cool, so take that. The reason why I ended up picking Cicada is because it goes deeper than just “CHANGE AND FREEDOM SPREAD YOUR WINGS [INSERT MORE INSPIRATIONAL WORDS HERE]”

36: have you ever wanted to be invisible?

Oh yeah, all the time. I’d be able to go places unnoticed and unbothered, which would be really nice being a huge introvert and all. Plus I could use it to freak people out tbh. I don’t think I’d want to be invisible all the time, though.

14: CDs or vinyl?

CDs, by far. I honestly never understood the appeal of vinyl - I mean, nostalgia and all, but a lot of people who never even saw them in use still like them a lot. But CDs are so much easier to carry around, you can rip them, AND they’re shiny. What more can you want?

25: what are songs that make you want to become the sky?

Short answer: a lot. If that counts as a genre, it’s my favourite one (besides maybe the kind that makes you want to become a star, but there’s a lot of overlap). Definitely in layers. I’ve gotten really good at tuning things out, even (especially) when I probably shouldn’t be. It’s subconscious at this point.

-My job... photography... except, I get to take the kind of photos I like

-My grades weren’t the best, but fail? Never got that far.

Betelgeuse: What’s something you can never forget about?

-The last time I hurt someone and had to look in their eyes and apologize.... The hurt... betrayal.... I just don’t ever want to see that again.

Vega: What’s something you’ve done that you wish you hadn’t?

-Leave. I disappear without a word and I know it fucks with the people around me. I return as if nothing ever happened and expect people and relationships to have remained frozen in time... I’m starting to take to heart that life is NEVER stagnant

-I’m social enough, I guess. If you can deal with my attitude...

-Yes.

Tagging: I don’t usually partake in these since I’m inconceivably lazy, however exiled, dango enthusiasts can be somewhat persuasive when using the deadpan eyes. TASTES: Slightly bitter, salty. Preferably in the form of salt-broiled saury and miso soup. Braised eggplant, Tsukemono (pickled vegetables) and steamed rice. SMELLS:  Mellow, crisps scents like roasted Genmaicha or Hojicha leaves, freshly washed sheets and wood smoke. Nothing overly sweet and florid; a mask can only filter to some extent. SIGHTS: Rooftop views, dense forest and agrarian fields as far as the eye can see.   TALENTS:  Being chronically tardy, whilst owning an alarm clock. OUTFITS: The standard, navy infantry for all Konoha Jōnin; with the addition of plated gloves and mask. Also owns a number of black regalia for memorials, a sleeveless body vest and a military green scarf his father gave him for his initiation ceremony during his academy days. 

OTHER: His habits include perpetually skipping out on paying for team lunches, reading (artistically constructed) adult literature underneath the windowsill of the administration building and avoiding challenges from Gai that can’t be solved by a single round of Janken. Always living with one foot in the past, he prefers the company of his own thoughts and on occasion, that of his Ninken. Yet, despite his aloof front, he is severely sentimental, cares about the well-being of his teammates and village and won’t hesitate to push himself beyond his own limits if the moment so calls.
