12. Surprise kissing them
If anyone could keep their eyes wide for a long time then it would definitely be Maia. Currently, she looked like a frog, standing their with her eyes wide and her lips pressed against Carter’s. Maia had been discussing the importance of clocks and the mechanics behind the clockwork. She had been enjoying the discussion between herself and Carter. Well...it wasn’t really a discussion. It was mostly just her rambling on and the other yawning away. But if there was one thing that Maia loved the most it was when someone just listened to her and didn’t ask her any questions - that way she could go on and on about the topic forever. Unfortunately she wasn’t able to continue to discuss the clockwork mechanicms when Carter said a rather rude word and pressed his lips against hers. Pulling away quickly, she stared at him and forced herself to blink a couple of times. “Woah. Shut up would have been a better way to get the message across.”
