Jongdae has finished showering and coming out of the bathroom when Baekhyun arrives. Mongryong greets him far too enthusiastically for the small amount of time he’s been out to get their dinner. They could have ordered but Jongdae’s favorite store doesn’t do deliveries to that area just yet and Baekhyun sacrifices himself for the greater good. Jongdae would be okay with any dish from any shop nearby, but it’s the small details that do it for him.
‘at least someone loves me.’ Jongdae hears, watching Baek pet the dog on the head and ruffle its ears in the process. “How unfair of you.” Jongdae kisses the boy’s cheek, taking the bags from his hands and Baek counters with a ‘you smell nice’. Jongdae smiles.
Jongdae eats a little too much and therefore gets lazy right after. There’s really no dishes to be done, the animals are all cuddled up on their own and Jongdae, true to his cat-like nature, has his head on Baekhyun’s lap. The bartender has been busy with a book for the past half an hour and Jongdae has been trying not to fall asleep, but the fact that Baekhyun is running his fingers through his hair, playing with it, is not helping at all.
“What are you reading?” He asks, but Baekhyun is too distracted to reply “read it for me too. I’m falling asleep here.” he whines a bit, enough to get Baekhyun’s attention, although his hand on Jongdae’s hair doesn’t stop.
‘boil the bones for three hours, add the pepper and --’
Jongdae’s eyebrows knit together and he turns around, raising his head to look at the older. There’s a ‘what?” on the tip of the older’s tongue and a laughter about to escape Jongdae so he does laugh and then curls around the other even more. “I can’t believe you’re reading a cookbook with such a serious face on. Are you planning on learning how to cook?”
"Of course not. I’m looking up recipes for you to make.”
