Applications will no longer be accepted right now from current players. We all feel that it is in the best interest of the RP that we reevaluate some of our rules as the activity of the dash has been noticeably slow and doesn’t seem to be improving at all. This isn’t to point any fingers at anybody, because obviously life happens, and everybody gets busy, but because of the decrease in activity, we thought it would be best to limit characters so the current character arcs and plots can be developed further within the context of the whole plot. Because this is not independent roleplaying, more enforcement will be backed behind activity checks, character growth and overall plot development. These three things are what we find vital to the group roleplaying experience and what differentiate it from an indie roleplaying experience. We have a cohesive plot webbed together for a reason, and recently, it seems that canon plot points are being ignored, overlooked, and dismissed. 

There has also been a huge trend of emphasis on romantic relationships, and bringing in characters purely for shipping purposes, which is not what our intentions were as a group roleplay. Of course, romantic relationships are encouraged, and can be pursued, but that should not be the only aim and motivation of any individual character or plot, which is something I unfortunately have to say. It should also not be the only interaction any individual character has. That all being said, with this buckling down on new rules, I’m going to be completely transparent with you; I want to shut this roleplay down. If things continue down the path they’re currently on, then this group will be closing within the month. If things seem to improve or expand on plots and activity, then I will be more than happy to keep this group up and running.

There is so much potential being wasted and I don’t blame anybody. This might just be the rp taking it’s natural course of action, which is ok. If anybody has any questions or concerns at all, contact me. And, if you feel like this is no longer the place for you or that you won’t be able to meet the demands of the new rules set out, that’s okay too. I won’t be offended by anybody who says they don’t want to be a part of this group anymore, but we feel that 7 days of inactivity is more than enough time to reply to things. On Friday, February 22nd, we will be posting an activity check for any character who has not posted over the course of the next week once this admin note has gone out (gifsets, pics, music posts do not count). An unfollow will be posted Saturday, February 23rd if nothing changes after the activity check. We will not be having an event for the month of February because we want the focus to be entirely within the context of everything that has already happened in the town.

heyo!! sorry everyone for the unexpected delay in updates and things moving at a molasses speed on the main. i know i’ve been swamped myself and that has only reflected poorly in not only my personal activity, but also with the main as well, and i want to apologize! that all being said, we are in the works of a huge event that’s going to be taking place over the course of the next several weeks, and we wanted to get the opinion of members from the group. without spoiling what’s in store for the next event, would members rather be able to decide for each of their characters what happens to them specifically, or would they rather be assigned what happens to them in a similar fashion to how dates were assigned for the charity auction? just shoot us a reply to this post or send us what you think in a dm or an ask! thanks!!

With the Event 004 announcement being posted on Monday, we want to let players know that you need to wrap up any threads that take place before September 24th, 2018. This is in due part because of the event details and what to expect from the dash. We are posting this notice only so that this weekend can be used to catch up on things, finish threads, and ultimately have a fresh new dash starting Monday, with brand new starters (open and closed) and so the plot isn’t stuck in the past. Of course, our ask week is still in effect until Event 004 is posted, which means you’ve still got plenty of time to answer your own character asks and to not forget to send out two asks for every question you received. This is only put in place to make things fair and fun so that everybody that wants to be involved has a chance to be involved (nobody likes the feeling of not receiving questions after they’ve sent out so many).

On a completely different note, we expect players to read admin notes, notices, updates, and event posts all the way through as we’ve noticed discrepancies in what we say versus what’s being done. This is not only important because players should all be on the same page regarding event end dates and expectations, among other things, but also because when you join a group roleplay, rules are a vital part of what keeps the roleplay running functionally. Keep this in mind when anything is posted from the main because while we are always open for questions, sometimes answers can be found in the things we post. Everything we include in any post is included for a reason.

Because our next event is more of an extreme change to what the dash is used to, if you plan on bringing in a new character over the course of the next month, please let one of the admins know as soon as possible, so we can plan ahead for their arrival as the next event is all encompassing and will affect them immediately. If you do not let us know, there is a chance they will not be accepted until after Event 004 has concluded. 

The last bit of this note is solely for those who have not been active and have not posted on their character accounts in over two weeks (14 days). We will be doing an activity check this weekend, and anybody who currently has not spoken to us about their activity within the last week will be messaged and given 24 hours to reply back to us, just to make sure they’re still interested in being in this group. We are one of the most lenient roleplay groups when it comes to activity, but as everybody should know, all we ask in return is keeping us updated on if you plan to be inactive for a time and an estimated return date. That all being said, most players have been fantastic at activity and also keeping us informed on when they will be gone, which helps everything in the long run, so thank you.

This is a long note, we all understand that, but as the admins, we all feel that it is our responsibility to make sure things are fair for everybody as we hope to keep this group alive and thriving. Please like this post to let us know that you’ve read the whole thing. We are so excited to be jumping into this brand new chapter of Memento Mori and continue to grow as a group with development and plots.

We have updated our Rules Page and would like every member to check out the updated rules. While we are continuing to be respectful of members and their time with understanding activity and communication, we are encouraging more interaction in our rules that have been updated to reflect a character limit and a starter tag limit. This is to ensure that characters all have a better chance at interacting with others and that plots can move forward and characters can develop and progress through the story. We would also like to remind all players of the rules we have no leniency on, and that includes no god-moding and sexual content always being placed under a read more and tagged appropriately. If there are any problems with these rules not being followed, an admin will contact any players involved. As always, if you have any questions or comments or concerns, please let the main or one of the admins know! We have updated our Triggers Page and would like every member to see the updated list so that all of us can be wary about what we need to tag as a trigger warning. We take our rules about trigger warnings very seriously, so we ask that all members like this message once they have checked out the updated list, and please make sure to be mindful when tagging trigger warnings on your threads, intros, biographies, photos, and gif sets. As always, if you have any additional requests to add to our trigger warnings list, please let the main or one of the admins know! Event 007 will be posted on Friday January 18th, which means Event 006 threads should be wrapping up and ending over the course of the next two days to get characters into a similar mindset going into the next event. On a brief note, Event 007 will also feature a very big plot drop that will be posted Wednesday, January 30th, and it will affect all attending characters. Those wishing for characters to sustain long-term or fatal injuries after the plot drop, please contact one of us so that we can keep a “body” count of fatalities/wounded characters. Thank you!

Hey hey hey! I hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday! I’ll be going out of town tonight to a basketball game, but just know that we are hard at work coming at you with our next big event and the mother of all plot drops that could really affect any characters you’d like! That being said, don’t forget, newborn vampires are still attacking as a few still are on the loose. Along with that, again I’d like to let everyone know that if you have a major plot idea or something that you’d like for future plots, please don’t hesitate in contacting us as we’d love to hear your ideas as we integrate them into the overall direction of the group! hi friends! since this week is thanksgiving in the united states, this is to serve as a reminder that your characters might be celebrating with their friends and/or family! there’s also a full moon the day after (november 23), so there’s definitely room for a lot of different plots to go on this week! that all being said, we all understand how busy this week might get if you’re celebrating yourself, so there’s no worries about keeping the dash active!
