“Stay here tonight. Are you ready for twenty questions from Kate?” She’s never able to give him a straight answer. Sometimes Nat wonders if she does to get under his skin or because she just enjoys being so damn impossible. It’s been a long night, a night full of revelations. They’ve talked so much she hadn’t realized just how long she was there for. The offer isn’t one he hasn’t given her before. It’s also not one she’s shut down. And of course, for added dramatics, Lucky comes up to her and places his chin on her lap. “How long did it take for you to train him to do that?” She arches a brow and a pets the dog before looking up at Clint. “Fine. Just one night.”
