honestly? my favorite memory is always gonna be when Shinee went on a Taiwanese game show where Host 1 was trying to make fun of Host 2 not being well known outside of Taiwan. they were playing a game like musical telephone and gave Shinee (looking like Christmas Elves) one of Host 2's songs, thinking they wouldn't know, and Jonghyun clarified (in Chinese) that he knew the song, turned and NAILED the performance

A memory I'll always have of Jjong is this video that he looks in a daze and then a male fan screams something and he gets surprised. He had his RDD hair. Always my favorite video hahaha.

Many years ago a group of friends and I were watching gayo night performances and we came across the one where Jjong opened with acoustic juliette while meeting the other members in different rooms and pulling them to the stage. I loved his singing technique. I loved how well he controlled his breathing. I loved how softly he looked at all the others. And despite the fact that RDD introduced them to me, I loved that they had a slower and heavier side like that to them.

There were 2. The first, when he gave his debut interview about being chosen by SM, before they had the other members with him. He got shy when the interviewer told him that all the girls would be swooning over him, and he pulled his shirt up over his face. But the second, was when I met him last year, and he shooed off the handlers, because I had started crying, and he just hugged me, and held me until I was ok. He saw the darkness in my eyes that I’ve faced, because he had it too. He saved me.

I hadnt notice him much when i first got to know the group. Then i saw their Replay performance where he cried, and suddenly i was looking for anything i could find on him. It was his live performance of Playboy in the white sweater that did it for me.

His MV for 'She Is' kept being recommended but I had exams so I didn't watch. Then after my exams my friends came round to my house and they told me I should so we all watched together. Everything about him had me fascinated. I heard more of his music and always wanted more. However it was when I learnt of the times he stood up for marginalised groups and that he had an interest in politics that I fell completely in love with him. Since then I don't regret a single moment, even now 💕
