I woke up on Saturday morning in my black skirt and leopard top to find out I was in a frat house, in a room belonging to a guy I had never met before. I stumbled my way out, still tipsy, to a house someone filled with energy. After all, it was the day of the homecoming game! The first thing I did was try and find my phone, and a sweet guy named *John was kind enough to lend me his phone so I could call it. We figured out that my phone was across campus, likely near my dorm.
So I stole someone's Sperry's, belonging to the guy who's bed I slept in, and off I went with John. We stopped by his apartment so he could change and he lent me a sweatshirt, because let me tell you I looked so awful. We used Find My iPhone to continue on the way and John and I talked for a while. We ended up back in my dorm, where my phone was sitting on my desk. As it turns out, my friend who was pledging the frat took my phone and my shoes back, but forgot to take me home to my dorm.
I changed into gameworthy attire and for some reason, left with John. We were walking down Park Ave to get his car when we met up with none other than my friend and another brother from the fraternity. So all of us went together in the car to the liquor store to pick up some beers, and then we proceeded to go to the tailgate. Now at this point my memory gets hazy because I was no longer drunk, slightly hungover.
We kept drinking (a lot) and I went back to tailgate after going to the bathroom to find out that the crew who was going to the game had already left. That's how I ended up going to the game by myself, where I met a kind, flamboyantly homosexual male cheerleader who I hung out with for the rest of the game. We left, and I, drunk still, managed to find my way back to the fraternity tailgate, and I made friends!
One of the guys there, all of whom were alumni at that point, recognized me from earlier and invited me to drink with them. For several hours after that we all hung out, until it was around 6pm and the sun was starting to set. I shotgunned my first beer and chilled. The alumnus whom I "knew," whose name was Calvin, invited me to go to the satellite house for the fraternity, and away we went.
We ended up at the fraternity's senior house, where I wandered and met some new friends, and smoked a joint with the brothers there. I found out that it was Brett's house (from before), and I was horrified to find out that his little twin sisters were there. A couple hours of drinking and hanging went by, and I somehow ended up with Calvin, the 24 year old alumnus on the couch making out. This is me, an 18 year old girl, making a pretty stupid decision. Luckily, Brett ran into the house with a blunt the size of a stick, yelling "roof blunt! roof blunt!" so naturally we all went up to the roof and smoked for a while.
We were chillin, passing 2 or 3 blunts between about 6 people, and I was in heaven, watching the cars go by on the street and staring at the stars. Until I realized that I had no idea where I was and basically had an epiphany about how stupid I was being. So I said goodbye to Brett and the roof brothers, slipped back inside and down the stairs, and started the long, terrifying journey home.
It took me around 20 minutes to walk about a quarter mile down the road to my dorm, where I somehow managed to slip past the RAs and onto my floor, where my floormates were waiting for the elevator. Now imagine a small, 5'3'' girl, maybe 115 lbs coming out of the elevator, high off her ass and pretty drunk as well, with eyes so pink she may have pink eye in both of them. The first thing my floormates asked me is "are you alive??" My response? "I have no idea"
I made it back to my room, and looked at the clock. I was fucked up beyond belief, and it was 9:30 at night. I passed out by 10 and that was the end of my homecoming weekend. It may have been a little more exciting had I gone out saturday night, but I had plenty of fun after that, worry not.
Stay tuned to hear about how the rest of my semester went (hint, there are some ups and some downs. you'll want to be here for all of it.)
