A few years after she reached puberty, her exact age unknown save for a notation in a file that she never got to see, it became clear to her teachers that she would not be able to maintain a ballerina’s physique. The girl once know as Lena was dragged out of her dance class, but instead of being terminated she was taken to the medical wing. The doctors there spent hours examining her and running tests before deeming her ready to be transferred HYDRA’s Moscow base to meet her husband.
