Lastnights episode: 6x09 Memory Found I feel like Scott's tearing up because he know what its like to not be able to say 'I love you' back to someone. He held Allison as she died in his arms. She told him she loved him and he never said it back. I think he understands the heartbreak behind Lydia's statement: "I never said it back" Scott McCall is a truly pure Alpha, an honest friend, and and caring son. I honestly never seen, or read about, any other character like him. He's rare. And I'm so glade we got to know him and Tyler over last 6 years 👌👌💜💜

Teen Wolf: Season 6A Episode 9 – Memory Found Tuesday, January 24

Last week was a really terrific episode but this week’s was… unreal. It is what I’ve been waiting 3 years for. For Lydia to realize her true feelings for Stiles. It finally happened. It was definitely the monumental moment of the episode. This episode was a trip down memory lane and I could not have been more pleased with it. Baby teens and baby wolves. It brought me back to so many of my favorite scenes in the series. So, now I unwind ‘Memory Found’.

Thoughts Going Into Episode 9: I really hope that Stiles is present in this episode not just the memories of Stiles but him in new scenes. He hasn’t been in most of the episodes so far which is totally understandable because Dylan O’Brien had a busy schedule but I hope in Season 6B he’ll be in it a lot more. How is the gang going to remember Stiles? In the promo for this episode, Scott was seen in Parrish’s freezer or Parrish’s “happy place” so maybe they are going to slow his heart rate down like they did in Season 3. In Season 3 Allison, Scott, Stiles, and Isaac went in ice bathes in order to remember certain memories they couldn’t without almost being dead.

First thing we see is Sheriff and Liam running into the Sheriff’s station looking for his deputies. He walks in and finds no one. They were all taken by the Ghost Riders. This scene solidifies that EVERYONE in Beacon Hills is gone. Last week, they made it seem like every single person was gone but there was no proof and it didn’t seem true. But Sheriff begins to realize that this is bad and something had to happen fast in order for Beacon Hills to escape the possibility of being on the ghost town list in the train station, like Canaan. It’s so weird how Liam is super eager about Sheriff letting Theo out of the jail cell. I don’t know what that means but it’s weird. Liam is pretty trusting in this season. Why does Theo want out so bad? Is he going to do something rebellious? It’s Theo, of course he has something up his sleeve. But I hope he finds it in himself to actually help the people that are left in Beacon Hills. Within 6 MINUTES, 6 MINUTES… Sheriff is taken. Does that means that he can join Stiles in the train station, right? I sure hope so.

PARALYZING THOUGHT: This is the 11th to last time Teen Wolf will be aired live and the 11th to last time the TW opening credits will play on live television. It’s too much for me to handle.

So, then it’s up to Theo and Liam and surprisingly they make a good team. The Theo Raeken and Liam Dunbar moments. There were so many good ones in this episode. Theo begins to slowly redeem himself in the season so far but by far he made an unexpected change of heart in ‘Memory Found’. He redeemed himself in my eyes at least. When it comes to their smiling faces and laughs of small victories to the small bickering fights, Liam and Theo are a true team. Top 3 Favorite Thiam Moments (Yes I just gave them a ship name): – When they are struggling to start the Sheriff’s car in order to free themselves from the Ghost Riders, Liam grabbed a box of dozens of keys. Liam and Theo are trying to find one to start the car. Liam gives Theo a small key and Theo says, “This isn’t even a car key!!” It was so serious, but so funny. – The “almost” fist bump. Liam and Theo just took down two Ghost Riders and shot them with their own guns. Liam saves Theo and they ALMOST have a bro moment until more Ghost Riders ruin everything. – The last scene between Theo and Liam before Theo gets taken. Theo saves Liam but throwing him in the elevator. When Liam says, “What are you doing?” Theo responds with “Being the bait” right before the door closes. It was the sweetest moment of Theo realizing he can do good and save people who he thought were enemies in the past. Being underground in hell changed him in a good way. Liam’s hair is amazing. He always flips it around like Justin Bieber.

The Emotional Connections: These scenes were incredible. The writers did an amazing job with bringing back previous memories from past episodes. The memories of each person (Scott, Malia, and Lydia) were part of the high school. They had to remember the high school in order to remember Stiles. Scott’s memories of Stiles were in the lockers. One memory for each locker. Malia’s memories were in the library in the books. One memory of Stiles for each book. Lydia’s memories were channels on a television. A different channel for each memory with Stiles.

Scott was the first one to go under hypnosis in order to remember Stiles. Scott also hasn’t been a werewolf in so long. I feel like I haven’t seen him actually be an Alpha in awhile. But his eyes turned red in the freezer, that’s why I remembered that he is an Alpha. The memories between Scott and Stiles were just as important between Stiles and Lydia. The first memory was Stiles locking baby Scott to a radiator because it was his first full moon as a werewolf. This was just after Scott kissed Lydia back in Season 1. The real Scott was watching from the hallway as the scene happened which was the coolest thing ever. You could really see the pain and sadness in his face when he saw his best friend years ago and his face right after he lost all memories of him when he was first taken by the Ghost Riders. Riveting stuff. There is no limits when it comes to Scott and Stiles’ connection. When the beaming, red light from the firecracker came out of the locker I knew immediately it was from Season 3 when Scott wanted to kill himself and Stiles saved him. That was the time Stiles said “Scott, you’re my brother.” Nothing but tears from that point on.

Shelley Hennig plays such a powerful character in Teen Wolf. I have truly grown to love her in the show and I think she has become a huge success with the show. When she’s in the library and she discovers memories between her and Stiles she started crying. Stiles and Malia were actually together. Even though I didn’t like them together I think she emotionally owed this episode. She was with Stiles and now has to relive them moments with him, especially the one where Stiles has to leave Malia and he says, “I’ll never leave you behind.” It would upset me too to watch Lydia remember Stiles and see their untouchable connection. The kiss that opened the rift. Malia’s expressions were so defeating and sad but I think Scott and Malia will end up together. They have to. They too have a connection. They are so protective of each other. Malia was so funny when she starts to read the script super slowly and awkwardly to get Lydia go under hypnosis.

Here we go. Lydia is in a classroom and she is flipping through the channels, finding different memories of Stiles.

Revisited Memories Between Lydia and Stiles: Some of them were scenes and some of them were Lydia and Stiles’ lines or just their voices in the past episodes. – Lydia is drugged in her room and Stiles comes to visit her. This is when she says the famous line of, “What is a Stiles?” – The dance – Lydia is missing and appears naked in the road and the Sheriff and Stiles find her. – Stiles says “perfect combination.” – Stiles unwraps the red string from Lydia’s finger in Season 3 – Stiles and Lydia are in Eichen House going to talk to Dr. Valack. The memory is of Stiles holding Lydia while they hide from the Dread Doctors – Stiles saves Lydia from Eichen House – And of course, the last memory they share when Stiles says, “Remember I love you.”

Then the big one. When Lydia kisses Stiles. Lydia’s face when she is actually watching the memory happen in the locker room 3 years ago is pure genius. Thank you to writers, Mark Kruger and Antoinette Stella for this amazing and raw idea.

My heart was pounding at this moment. Lydia admits that she has loved him ever since they kissed. Ever since Season 3. It was a very emotional and vulnerable scene of Lydia. I don’t think she has ever been this vulnerable in Teen Wolf. Suddenly a light appears. The scene ends with a white light meaning the rift is opened. Is it Stiles? Someone is a faint shadow coming towards Lydia, Scott, and Malia. The scene closes with Lydia saying, “Stiles?”

Next On Teen Wolf: In the promo, Lydia is seen using her banshee powers along side Sheriff Noah Stilinski. Stiles has a bat in his hands and takes out a Ghost Rider. This is a throwback to 1×01. I want to cry. I will be crying on Tuesday. Predictions: The train tracks are shown in the scene where Stiles takes out a Ghost Rider. It looked like he was in the Beacon Hills hospital AND the train tracks were in the hospital. So I’m guessing the entrance to the train station is in the hospital. Lydia will finally get to express her true, discovered feelings for Stiles. She’s say I love you back.
