Memphis flood. 2011.
Monday, the Mississippi River began to crest at 48 ft. (14.6 m) — beating the flood of 1927's 45.9 ft. (14 m) but still below the river's all-time high of 48.7 ft. (14.8 m) in 1937.
I fear there are several places in Memphis that will not be the same after the flood. I still smell the foul stench when simply driving on the interstate.

It's raining.
The great flood of 2011. been living here all 21 years of my life, never seen Downtown like this.
Reading the flood warning crawl on the Weather Channel is making me sick. I wish I hadn't seen the creek and river today. And this will go on until at least Wednesday as the river gets higher.
