Social Media Anxiety

I feel really weird posting this since it's really personal. But here it is... So I'll admit that I never understood social anxiety. It seems like everyone on Tumblr has it, and I feel like the perfect candidate for it. I'm a socially awkward introvert. I should have social anxiety. I mean I kinda do but nothing too unusual. But I just discovered that I have social media anxiety. I've always known, but I never tried to analyze it til now. ...kinda like when I realized I was gay at 15. I always knew I liked boys, no doubt about it. But one day I was like "oh shit. I'm gay." Anyways, the thought of posting on social media terrifies me. Like when I do, I can't stop thinking about it. For example: On Facebook: In the past, I used to deactivate my Facebook on my birthday so no one can wish me happy birthday. Now I just don't check to see who wished me happy birthday. Same with profile pictures: after changing it, I make the timeline post set to "only me" so no one notices. On Snapchat: I post stories, but I don't check to see who watches them On Instagram: I recently made a post for the first time in a long time saying I'm gonna post more. But a few minutes later, I regretted it, and I fucking deleted the app. Wtf Andrew. On Tumblr: I don't give a shit for some reason. It's like my safe place. ...although Tumblr is far from that. So although I feel weird posting this, maybe acknowledging it will make me overcome it in 2017. We'll see.
