Yuma Kagiyama's short program portion was stunning and so engaging.

So, there's a big part of me that likes Nika Egadze. The fact that he insisted on skating to Georgian music. His willingness to play along in galas. The fact that he is a native Georgian. He also seems to be a genuinely nice guy.

But then there's his coach...

I will say since working with Benoit that his artistry has improved substantially. He still needs to work on his spins but they are getting better.

That wasn't a bad skate for him; he should be happy with himself. But it should not be first and it should not beat jun.

Ice skating is one of the worst sports to be a fan of, because these people are all SO talented and SO young and it's one of those sports where accidents/mistakes happen very regularly so I'm constantly sitting here wincing and getting upset for their sake😭

We've barely started the men's short program and I'm already devastated for some of them

Also, so many people who have no idea about the sport have so many very strong and loud opinions 💀

Not that I'm not spouting bs/biased takes sometimes in defense of my faves, but some people omg. I swear they're seeing skates for the first time in their lives...

Ilia Malinin of the US has a dominating lead after the short program at Skate Canada. The rest of the competition is very close, though. Kazuki Tomono of Japan is currently in second, and less than a point behind is Aleksandr Selevko of Estonia.

Hi does anyone have any illegal (or legal but guessing that's less likely) way for me (an American) to watch the men's short program? Peacock already removed it because of copyright bullshit and I didn't get the opportunity to watch :/
