hello! so i've seen a lot of your graphics around and i really, really love how the coloring on the font looks and i was wondering how you got that effect? like it almost looks like you layer a colorful texture on top of the text itself. this is one graphic specifically i'm talking about if i'm not being clear enough: /post/77452345462/you-two-make-a-pretty-good-pair so, yeah. thank you in advance<3 you're really talented!

Okay, so obligatory note: I’m using Macromedia Fireworks, so the tools/settings might be different. But I’ve done a similar thing on photoshop, so I think it should be fine.

Im gonna use this cap.

Adjust your colors

Add your text. The font I used is Intro

Convert to Paths

Then Flatten Selection

This way the text becomes an image and we can erase things as we please.

Lasso Tool

You can change this to your preference. This is just what I had set. It’s all relative to your font size. If your font is like…100 then you’d probably want to feather it out more.

Then make a random selection over your text. Make it kind of small; you don’t want to erase the entire letter or word

I usually go between letters, or between lines.

So it comes out like this.

And then you just make more random selections and delete.

If you want it to look colorful then just change your image color and/or your text color.

advice: hmm the only thing that caught my eye was maybe a larger text for the title or use a longer title bc it looks kind off (maybe that's just me??)
