Day 40: Lipstick Homicide, the one with the cat on a toilet. I got this shirt at Awesome fest 5 when Lipstick Homicide played the soda bar. It was pretty awesome. I actually saw them play there twice, because they played the pre-fest show there too, but I don't remember which day I got the shirt on.
This shirt is awesome because it has a cat sitting on a toilet on it, and that's pretty bad ass, it is also screened totally off center, which is kind of frustrating but totally punk. I think this is only the 2nd time I have worn this shirt because it befell the same horrible fate that this shirt went through. Basically I forgot to unpack after awesome fest and lost my backpack in the trunk of my car. I am so freaking awesome. I have way too many shirts, somebody kill me.
Day 14: House Boat, the orange one with the boat and the house. I got this shirt on June 22nd, 2009 when I saw House Boat for the first time ever at Fontana's in NYC. I stumbled upon the exact date by accident when I was trying to figure out what year I got this shirt, I found a blog entry about the show! Hooray! I am glad I did cause I thought I got this at the cake shop, but no, it was totally fontana's. Click here to see the blog, you can actually see my arm and part of my head in the picture. I have my hand on the monitor and a purple sweatshirt on.
House Boat played with The Copyrights, the Unlovables and Dear Landlord. It was basically all of the best bands ever on one show, it was awesome. I remember that Grath had these shirts in some plastic grocery bags, and he didn't have that many. He had black ones as well, with orange ink, but the orange ink looked all shitty so I got the orange shirt instead. This show was tons and tons of fun and I think I stayed at Crystals house after, or maybe Erin's. The details are a little fuzzy. I also bought a Dear Landlord shirt at this show, which I hope I remember when I get around to wearing that shirt.
