Have you tried a menstrual cup? They take some getting used to but have a bit more to grab onto when u need to rearrange—and they’re reusable. I’m still struggling with taking mine out without making a huge mess but honestly it’s sort of worth it not having to change a tampon every few hours. BUT if you wanna go back to pads and tampons, I like the L. Organic brand at Target, about evenly priced with other non store brand products and free of like chlorine and bleach and shit.

I haven’t tried a cup yet, no. I got the disposable disks because I wanted to try them before “investing” in the cup (is $40 really an investment at this point compared to expensive tampons? lol), but I feel like the basket(?) part isn’t opening properly because I have to change it just as often as I would change a tampon (every few hours).

I like many things about using menstrual disks but you gotta be rrrreeeeeaaaaallllllll comfortable with female anatomy and all that it entails

I’m trying a menstrual disk for the first time and I’m so confused by some of the directions I’m reading online. I’m having leaking issues so I looked up ways to fix it and they’re describing readjusting this thing as if there’s a ton of space for it move around. Let me tell ya. It’s a little tight fit. Once someone is in there, not much else can fit in with it. How am I supposed to be able to go poking and feeling around to readjuge this thing, all while I’m still actively bleeding?? I shouldn’t need a fucking speculum in order to properly insert a menstrual disk. I was trying to be eco friendly but these disks aren’t even reusable so what’s the point? I’d rather just find a better brand of tampons and pads.
