These are items that have me require more mental effort or give me distraction when trying to calm down or ground. There's multiple puzzles and mind games. There's also the mindfulness worksheet book. The cover says: 'I am here now' which is also grounding to read by itself. Then the dot-to-dot book has multiple variations of having to connect numbers or symbols and is a good distraction.
There's a brochure and booklet about a bear and wolf rescue I visited twice. My favourite animals are bears. Having the names of the bears there with their image and description is a good way to try and focus on something else. The other booklet is in german which means I have to try hard to try and understand what it says which is also a good thing to distract the brain.
