I went to my first ever concert!
And it happened to be an absolutely amazing concert of my favorite band, The Crane Wives!
I don't vividly remember my journey of discovering and becoming such a big fan of this band, but I do recall two pieces of art that I would say were the most influential and vital, not just in my road to loving this band, but also to aspects of my life in the last several years. (which might sound or seem strange XD but it's true, and I'm not sure if I'll ever really be able to explain it.) To celebrate and thank these two amazing pieces of art (and their artists) that had this influential and vital role in my discovery of this outstanding band, I made some cheki that I brought to the concert and attempted to take photos with (Which didn't end up working out great LOL). So, firstly a thousand times thank you to @rozugold not just for his "nobody" dsmp animatic, but for all her art and stories.
The song by itself, but especially this animatic, have been such a comfort (and support) for me in good and bad times (╥﹏╥) and I feel like I owe all my thanks to you for making it and truly introducing me to this band. Thank you ｡°(°¯᷄◠¯᷅°)°｡ (also extra thank you for convincing me to watch vampires smp LMAO)
Next I want to thank @lovelucigoosey and their "Checkmate" DSMP au /fanfiction series, @checkmatedsmpau , most importantly the story "it's close enough to perfect (why does it hurt a little bit?)" Which much like Rozu's animatic, was a source of comfort and support for me in times I deeply needed it.
The series itself's only connection to TCW band may be it's ocassional use of their song lyrics for Fic titles, but that was no less important in drawing in my curiosity and leading me to their songs. Thank you Luci, I wish we could have talked more before you passed. As long as I'm around I will remember and be thankful for you and your impact on me through your stories and our conversations. Thank you 𐔌՞ ܸ.ˬ.ܸ՞𐦯. As I said, I had an outstanding time at my first ever concert (might post more about it later, no promises) I also ran into many other mcyt fans which was a splendid bonus. I'm very happy I made these checki to represent my gratitude , and to commemorate not just this concert but so many things in my life before. Thank you (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) ‹𝟹
