Thoughts: Two white and silver gowns worn by the then de facto first ladies of the court(excluding the position of Valide Sultan of course because it is on another level) is a huge win for both these ladies(and me) because it's a great way to show "soft" power through diplomacy for Empress Eugénie de Montijo and motherhood for Ayse Sultan (I'd like to think that Ayse wearing that white and silver gown and kaftan during the time that she was planning the ass*ss*nation attempt for the then pregnant Farya while presenting their children to the Sultan was a power move.
