Sometimes, Jason and Percy would still try to one up the other, even a long time after the war was over. Nothing serious. It was just a more determined grip on their swords when they were in opposite teams during Capture the Flag. It was just them showing off more when they were in the same one. It was just light bickering and mock threats and “scared you can’t keep up, Grace?”
Most of the time though, it was just Percy and Jason teaching each other sword fighting. it was them picking up tips from the other, them training and sparring a long time after everyone had left. It was them helping each other until both were equally equipped with Greek and Roman techniques. It was them learning to fight alongside the other, making up a deadly team of ocean and lightning, of green eyes and blue cutting through monsters, freezing the cleverer ones on their tracks because they simply did not understand how to cope with these two, who could swing with a Roman arm and then jab the Greek way.
Percy and Jason became the example of how two camps of demigods who had grown so differently could learn to work together.
The rest of the time, it was them wandering around the mall trying to convince everyone else that they were definitely not a couple but were only waiting for their girlfriends to come back from whatever detour they had gone on and them grinning as they imagined how annoyed Zeus and Poseidon must be that their sons (or the son of their Roman version if you wanna get technical) were becoming really good friends.
