I DJ'd in Space!
The Best Feeling In The World
Today was full of events. I found out that I only missed part of 1 problem on my college trigonometry test. That is twice in a row that I have gotten A's. Where was this at all year? During 2nd block, teacher's aid, I helped the preschoolers while they were visiting the kindergarten rooms. I went back during 4th block to help with the afternoon preschool class too. After we got done with the afternoon class I gave the kindergarteners their bracelets. They loved them! All of them were so excited. I received a lot of thank yous and right before I was about to walk through the door one of them ran up to me and gave me a hug. Then all 14 of them were there giving me hugs at once and giving me high fives. That was one of the best feelings I have ever experienced. Even though it didn't last that long, while I was there I never wanted it to end. Their faces were full of joy. It felt as though there was nothing in this world that could take that amount of happiness away from us. If that sounds wired to you then I'm sorry, but I honestly love making others happy. If there is anything I can do to make another person smile, I will find it, and I will do it. That's just the type of person I am. After softball practice we had an academic awards banquet thingy. I received something for volleyball for keeping my good grades, a pin for our band getting a 1 at state, a bar for lettering in band again, a certificate for getting a 2 on my flute solo at regionals, a certificate and pin from T.R.U.C.E., a certificate and pin from Mentor Magic, I was the only one to recieve a key chain for being a great mentor because I always go above and beyond, and last of all a certificate and soon a medal for being the Outstanding Female American History Student. I think that's everything. If not, oh well. I think I underestimate myself too much because I didn't think I was going to get the key chain from mentor magic and the US History award. Before my name was called for both, my friends kept looking at me and whispering, "That's you." Then when my name was called I was a bit shocked. Alessia kept saying that I was going to win the US History award so much that I bet her a nickle that I wasn't going to win. She won and I had to pay her a nickle for me winning an award. When my name was called she held out her hand and I put the nickle in it as I walked to the stage. It was funny. Both teachers said that I always for above and beyond what is required of me. I think if I'm passionate about something and enjoy a lot, when I go "above and beyond" it's not on purpose. I don't think I have ever looked at it that way. I look at it as I like doing this so I'm going to keep doing it because it makes me happy. Sometimes my happiness is shared with others and sometimes it's not. I think first I find happiness for my self and sometimes my happiness spills over on others. I think that's a great thing to share. The best feeling in the world is knowing that you have made somebody else's day better.
