Disease for the album asks :)
Ooh fun! Ok let’s go
The first song off the album I heard: That would be the title track ‘Disease’ when it was first released - in fact I quite clearly remember I was walking on the moors when they released it and I gave it a listen before going into town for drinks with friends, that is actually a very fond memory bizarrely enough
Do I own the album: I have it saved on spoofy but sadly I do not own a physical copy - yet.
My favourite song: Only one!?!? Damn that’s tough, but I’ve always really enjoyed ‘Fire,’ the vibes in that one, the adrenaline it has, it’s just like hell yeah, so maybe ‘Fire’ is my favourite
My least favourite song: Hmm, I’d probably say out of all the songs on Disease, ‘Enemy’ is the one I find myself returning to the least - something about it just doesn’t stick in my head as much as the others I guess
A song I didn’t like at first but now do: You Never Know - I remember first listening to the whole record and feeling kind of underwhelmed by YKN, but after repeat listens, and especially after the Blackbird Sessions version of it, it has really grown on me
A song I used to like but now don’t: I mean this question just isn’t applicable, I like all of the songs too much!!
My favourite lyric: Oh man how the hell am I meant to choose a favourite Beartooth lyric, Caleb is literally such a good writer it’s insane. But for the sake of the game, I think I’d have to say “I hide all of my burdens, I twist my words so well, I’m breaking but the lie is what I sell” from ‘Clever.’ One of those classic ‘a little too relatable’ Beartooth lines lol
Overall rating out of 10: I think I would give Disease a very strong 8/10. Not my favourite of Toof’s discography, but nonetheless a pretty fantastic album
