“Moving…? No I’m good thanks.”
@mer--lovise“But the tide is coming soon...! I’d hate for you to be stuck on the shore or something...”
“ and what is it you believe?”
“I believe that, no matter what power ya have, it is up to you as to whether it aids ya or consumes ya. Like, me with my magic. I slaved away to learn how to use it so that my power could be used for good! I help people now... and I’m not afraid of it anymore. Ya might be surprised but as a kid, I used to be scared of casting spells from my wand or tomes...”
"Maybe I should have stayed home."
“NOPE.”
Peggy held onto Lovise for dear life, “yer going to have fun with me, alright? Festivities are for enjoyin’ yerself with the people ya care about. Yer my friend, Lovise, so I ain’t leavin’ ya out.”
“….Because I sleep naked.”
Josephine hadn’t meant to eavesdrop, but she had caught the tail end of a very strange and curious conversation. As she watched the girl speak, Josephine tried to hide her features behind her book, but a laugh sounded out from behind the pages.
“Oh, I’m so sorry- It’s just... no, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have been listening,” Josephine murmured guiltily, as the girl looked her way.
@mer--lovise said: "You're gonna be fine!"
“I know I am, but what the hell happened to yer hand?” Peggy exclaimed, seeing how bruised and swollen it looked. What in the world had Lovise been getting up to? Fighting?
“Ya gon’a have to let me sort that out,” Peggy demanded.
@mer--lovise asked: Dream - Find my muse moving in their sleep due to a dream or nightmare.
It wasn’t exactly comfortable to sleep in the wild, but alas, at times like these where money was short, Peggy literally couldn’t afford risk an inn or even a hostel. Sometimes she had been swindled, and that fact had made her wary - especially in times of dire economic crisis.
Peggy had heaved a sigh, plonking her heavy bag down onto the soggy ground of the path, having cupped her hand above her brow to search the local area for a place to camp. A small clearing about five feet away from the path showed itself to her, and it was quite nice; close to the path, pretty quiet. It would do for a quick nap to gather her strength again.
So, she had stepped into the undergrowth, pushing through it so she could finally stand in the clearing. Once there, she whipped out her wand and gave it a little wiggle. Within seconds, her small canopy flew from her bag, stringing itself up against a set of closely-situated trees. Little logs were rolling from the edges of the clearing, crawling up into a small pile before settling. Soon after that, her little camping matt flicked from the clasps below her bag, flying to the ground and rolling open.
Once everything was finished, it look like a nice little nest. Taking a seat and placing her bag at the head of the sleeping matt, Peggy then moved to the logs. With concentration to put even the most focused to shame, Peggy flicked her wand and tried to send a small spark to the wood. It didn’t catch.
“Aw, shite.”
She guessed a tome would be needed. Damn, she needed to get better with her wand - she was shaming her mother.
Soon, there was a small fire crackling, keeping her nice and warm. Sleep came easy, her wixen hat hanging low over her eyes. However, her peaceful slumber wouldn’t last, and soon soft whimpers left her throat, hands twitching uncomfortably.
She was trying to say no. But she couldn’t. she tried to scream but her voice wasn’t present.
What was happening to her? Why were people saying such horrible things?
Her mother was fine- just fine- she was alive- people were lying to her! She wasn’t supposed to-
“MOTHER-”
"Tell me more about that compass I gave you, I wanna know why you were so super interested in it?"
“Um... no.”
"Sorry for running into you."
Eirik stood still as a tree, a slight glare in his eyes as he tried to make up his mind on what to do. He had already been debating which way to go in this town, and now he had an added dilemma of what to do with this woman who had practically ran right into him, making him almost loose his fiddle-case.“Perhaps you should learn to look and walk before running,” he huffed and hoisted his bags a little more securely up on his shoulder. “Would have cost you if anything got damaged…”
