It turns out that #MercenaryMum is out of practice when it comes to taking care of her little nephew ‘Namatjira’ Paul and I took him to Scarborough Beach Sunset Markets the other day and the first stop along the way was the outdoor bar (of course!) After making him squint in the sun for a selfie, Paul caved in and decided we would walk along the beach so he could “look at the water” (it was the second time he had ever been to a beach). Yeah, so we found out that “look” means put your feet in the water and get bowled over by a wave. The soaking wet little boy then rolled around in the sand so he could get nice and dirty. There was no way we could stop and eat at any of the food stalls because it was blowing a gale and Nammy would have frozen to death. So we walked him back to the car and course he stumbled along the way and scraped his hand (drawing first blood). We put the little sandman into our immaculately clean car and drove him home to hand back over to my mum! Yep, I’m out of practice! Paul and I are going to have to brush up on our parenting skills because mum and Namatjira have moved to Perth to live with us!! Things are going to get very interesting!!!!
