The Updated Toontown Mercury Server Guide (sorry i'm obsessed)

So, here’s an updated guide with both download links for the Toontown Mercury Server, made by Mercury/Astro/idk who but whoever you are, you are awesome!

So, first things first, if you have a Windows Vista, turn away now, since there is no official confirmation of it working. I have a Vista, tried the method, failed to work due to missing components. Mac just doesn’t run Windows files, but there's a desktop emulator out there that can! ^u^ :P

Extract both folders to the C:/ drive of your computer.

Then next, place the Panda3D folder out of the TTISource folder into C:/.

Make a new folder called ToonblrClient in the C:/ drive. Then, move the ToonblrDist folder into the new folder.

Go back into the TTISource folder and move RetroResources to the ToonblrClient folder. This might take some time, around 2-5 minutes.

After that, go into ToonblrClient > ToonblrDist and then, double click on the BAT file. Type in a username (and keep it with you, of course), and then that should be you!

Once you get your toon made, just before you start the ToonTorial, close the game down and then restart, because people have issues with the ToonTorial. :)

Known issues:

The server is known to have gone down or reset at times, but this isn’t too much of a problem. The server should be back up within less than an hour.

When you complete the trolley task as part of the Toontorial, Clerk Clara will show up saying Welcome to the Gag Shop!, but you can’t move forward with the dialogue. Just disconnect and restart.

Sometimes, you might not be able to see any SpeedChat+ phrases. This is mainly due to lag.

The server lags at times, but it isn’t too bad. If you have a bad computer, then I would be cautious.

People have trouble with HQ Harry in the ToonTorial once you open the Sticker Book, but it is possible to continue. However, to prevent hassle, just disconnect and relog.

Name-A-Toon doesn’t work. Instead, if you want a name change, ask a moderator or admin in the game to change it for you, or give you temporary powers.

Differences from the previous guides/versions:

There is no need to change the IP address. With the new ToonblrDist version, the IP in the BAT file is set up for you already!

The Panda3D folder is in the TTISource folder, and there’s no need to download it off of a website. You should move it to what the path says, C:/. So, move the Panda3D folder out of TTISource into C:/.

No password is required. All you need is a username, and you should remember this username.

Commands (for Temporary powers, mods and admins):

~maxToon - maxes toon gags (all tracks), suits, laff… generally anything

~cheesyEffect 6 - Makes your Toon small. Play with the number, goes up to 13.

~suit invasion 1 - summons a Bottom Feeder invasion. 0 = Flunky 2 = Short Change 3 = Cold Caller

~inventory restock - restocks your gags. powerful gags are restocked first.

~sos Magic Cat 100 (???) - I’m not sure if this is the right way to say it, but this is a command for SOS cards. number is amount, and you can change the toon name.

~unites 10 - gives you 10 of each unite

~fires 10 - gives you 10 fires.
