31st August 2022 - Today is a special day for all Malaysians as it marks the 65th anniversary since Malaysia gained its independence.
The Malayan Tiger is a national icon that has stood by us proudly since the beginning. We see the tiger on the cover of our passports, our national coat of arms, as well as on the logo of our national football team. However, how much more time do we have to live alongside the real Malayan Tigers, as they are on the brink of extinction?
‘Merdeka’ should be about liberating all those in our country, which should include our beloved Malayan tigers. Together, we can protect our national icon. 🇲🇾🐅
