Sussex Survivors Group Welcomes Emily Robinson

The Duchess of Sussex has lost another publicist, her tenth (10th) in five (5) years, after her latest hire resigned three (3) months into the role. Emily Robinson has quit three (3) months after being hired. Her friend told the Daily Mail (quoted by The Times).
Hired as director of communications in June to oversee media strategy for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex but left this month, the Daily Mail reported. Robinson is at least the tenth (10th) publicist to leave Meghan and Harry’s team since they left the UK for California five years ago.
Emily Robinson, a former senior director of publicity at Netflix who previously worked on The Crown, She previously worked at the History and Discovery channels. Robinson oversaw publicity for The Crown between the third and sixth series which included story arcs such as Prince Harry’s Nazi costume controversy, Princess Diana’s Panorama interview and the scene in which a vision of Diana speaks to the Queen.
A spokesman for the couple said ‘Miss Robinson oversaw project-based work for a very successful season of With Love, Meghan and additional support for the production company. She did an excellent job and completed these projects with great success’.
Two of the former publicists, James Holt (resides in UK) and Miranda Barbot (resides in NYC), were promoted into non-PR roles.
Their team currently consists of Liam Maguire, director of communications in Europe, and Meredith Maines, chief communications officer. They met Tobyn Andrea, the King’s press secretary, earlier this year — talks which are believed to have led to Prince Harry meeting his father last month.

They say that as a parent you are only ever as happy as your unhappiest child. Given Prince Harry’s clearly troubled state of mind, it can’t have been easy for King Charles to find much peace these past few years.
Since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left to start a new life in California, Harry has sadly shown himself to be deeply unhappy, lashing out like a wounded animal at those who care about him most.
His vengeful accusations cast a dark shadow over the final years of his grandmother’s life.
Meanwhile, his idyllic new lifestyle alongside his fragrant wife and children in their beautiful new home – with her flower sprinkles and artful fruit platters – does not seem to have brought him the satisfaction or freedom he desired.
That’s because, as any fool knows, you can’t run away from yourself. No amount of sunshine or honey can make someone happy if their heart remains filled with rage, as his seems to be.
He is so obviously lost, and that is largely why, having justified his departure as an ‘escape’ from the intolerable claustrophobia of royal life, he has nevertheless clung to his birthright.
Truth is, if you strip away his royal status there’s not an awful lot left to work with. Just a middle-aged man-child with a rather pushy wife, expensive tastes and no discernible skills.
No surprise then that, as reported exclusively in The Mail on Sunday yesterday, he should be seeking a way back into the royal fold.
Two of his top aides - Meredith Maines, chief communications officer and head of his household in Montecito, and Liam Maguire, who runs the Sussexes’ PR team in the UK (for two people who profess to want a ‘simple’ life, they sure have a lot of staff) - met with the King’s trusted communications secretary, Tobyn Andreae, for a drink at the Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL), a hop, skip and a jump from Clarence House.
Sources at the Palace were at pains to point out that there was ‘no formal agenda, just casual drinks'. But since ROSL styles itself as an ‘international organisation dedicated to friendship and understanding' across borders - and there are no coincidences when it comes to the Royal Household - the meeting is widely being interpreted as the first tentative public step (who knows what wheels may have been whirring in private) towards some form of reconciliation.

This can only be to the good. The King’s health seems to be well-managed, but he’s not getting any younger. He has met his youngest grandchild, Lilibet, only once and neither of the Sussex children have spent much time with their English cousins. It would make everyone so much happier to bury the hatchet.
But I must sound a note of caution. Over the past few years, Harry has not only shown himself to be volatile, but also untrustworthy. And he does not come to this from a position of strength. So you have to ask yourself: what are his real motives here?
He hasn’t exactly distinguished himself as a ‘civilian’. Every single project he’s undertaken has been predicated on his titles, and that’s because the only real currency he has is as a member of the British Royal Family.
It’s a rich resource which he has ruthlessly mined; but without contact with the source, the well is beginning to run dry. Prince Harry needs to replenish his royalness – and making nice with Pater is the quickest and easiest way of reminding the world of that profitable connection.
The King needs to be aware of this. At the end of the day, Prince Harry has more to gain than his father does from a rapprochement.

As Page Six previously revealed, the Archewell Foundation, which recently rebranded as Archwell Philanthropies, was down to just Holt and Nep. The Sussexes spent the past few months in cost-cutting talks for their charity and even discussed selling the foundation. “Every time someone leaves Harry and Meghan say they are staying on in some capacity,” said another source, “But they are never heard from again. “Shauna hasn’t been a full-time employee in some time,” added the source, “This is crazy — they have lost their Foundation in a matter of weeks.”

Meredith was famously photographed with King’s director of communications Tobyn Andreae on a balcony at a Mayfair private members club with The Sussexes UK and Europe communications director Liam Maguire, who retains his post.

Just months after the couple signed a ‘first look’ deal with streaming giants Netflix despite critics panning cookery series ‘With Love, Meghan’.
The couple are listed as executive producers for documentary Cookie Queens, on Netflix next year.
This year Meghan has also launched her Instagram handle and rebranded a lifestyle company ‘As Ever’.
The move comes as Harry could be aiming to spend more time in the UK as he will next month receive his first Ravec security assessment in five years despite losing a High Court case for armed security.
A year ago, global press secretary Ashley Hansen stepped down to start her own consultancy firm after a two-year tenure running the couple’s PR.
This summer, three communications officers, including UK-based Charlie Gipson, California-based Kyle Boulia, were given the boot.
Emily Robinson, who was appointed director of communications and previously worked at Netflix, left in October after just four months.

The source told them: “She marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders.
“I’ve watched her reduce grown men to tears.”
And added: “Everyone’s terrified of Meghan. She belittles people, she doesn’t take advice.
“They’re both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently. Harry is a very, very charming person – no airs at all – but he’s very much an enabler. And she’s just terrible.”
Several former and current staff came out in support of the couple including former Chief of Staff Josh Kettler who told US Weekly that he was “warmly welcomed” by both of them and their Archewell team, adding: “They are dedicated and hardworking. It was impressive to witness.”
Society bible Vanity Fair revisited bullying row in January with his 8,000-word takedown of the couple with the headline ‘American Hustle’.
It quoted an insider saying Meghan could be “really, really awful.”
This year, Meghan launched her Instagram handle and had to rebrand her lifestyle company to ‘As Ever’ after trademark blunders with American Riviera Orchard.
Despite high viewing figures her cookery show ‘With Love, Meghan’ was savaged by TV critics both sides of the Atlantic.
Harry risked torpedoing his hopes of reconciliation with his dad after an outspoken attack after losing his High Court case wanting armed protection in May. He met the King for the first time in 22 months at Clarence House during a trip back to the UK in September to appear at several patronages and charities.
But aides blasted ‘men in grey suits‘ he claimed were sabotaging his hopes of reconciliation after The Sun revealed Harry had joked his face-to-face with his dad was like an “official visit” and handed a framed photo of his children as a present.
