I forgot I took this picture ages ago and it’s still a very good picture. It’s from when I was making my Knight Commander Meredith outfit and was still blonde. I really love that outfit (especially since I don’t have to cover up the dark circles under my eyes!) but it’s so hot and heavy to wear 😭 it’s on my list to just do a mini shoot with in my apartment but I’m constantly sighing over how much I want to bring it to another con. valencia shepard was born and raised in bogotá. she never went to school, and as a result, her first (and only) language is spanish, and a pretty informal slang spanish at that. she relies almost completely on her translator to get by, which is something she’s super self-concious and ashamed about, so she keeps it on the lowdown. james vega and steve cortez find out she speaks spanish when she adds a comment one day when theyre chatting without translators, and absolutely lose their minds bc HEY ANOTHER HISPANIC!! there is a lot of confusion tho bc colombian slang is so different from american-spanish slang.

also, shes teaching herself asari to impress her gf :^) shes not v good bc shes monolingual and not super educated, but shes nothing if not stubborn
