She was perched on top of the crumbling tower she makes her home in, when she spotted the familiar figure at a distance, trudging his way across the rickety rope and plank bridge that led to the little island.

Pulling her mask up as she dropped down the tower, she made her way swiftly through the ruined chambers and passages of her adopted home, intercepting him just before he reached the little bonfire.

As he rounded the corner, she was warming her hands above the glowing flame, as if she'd just happened to be standing there. She looked up at his approach, and stepped back from the fire to bow.

"My apologies, warrior. I did not ask you how I should address you, when we first met. As for myself, shadow is as good a name as any."

The eye shattered, and with it, Kaathe's view of his dear darkwraith. In place of a window in his mind's eye was a splintered, dark blotch. 

"Heh heh ha ha ha HA HA HA HAHA!" The darkstalker bellowed laughter into the dark. Another defector. 

"If only it were so easy, knight of New Lando." The darkmoons weren't the only ones who hunted oathbreakers.
