Manon never meant for it to get this far.
It was supposed to be simple, blend in just enough so no one gets suspicious, but don’t get close.
That plan died the second she got put into a group with six other girls.
She wouldn’t admit it out loud, but she liked them. Being around them wasn’t hard. Acting normal was. Hiding her eyes, pretending to eat, timing everything so no one noticed, it was annoying, but manageable.
You weren’t.
You were the problem.
Manon didn’t mean to get close to you, but it just… happened. You were always there. Always in her space, leaning on her, dragging her into conversations, sitting too close. And she let you.
She always let you.
Maybe it was because you were one of the oldest. Maybe it was because you didn’t treat her weird. Or maybe it was because every time you hugged her, she could smell you.
Warm and sweet.
Not like anything else.
It made something in her snap every single time.
Manon stayed in her room that night, door locked, lights off. She kept her distance when she was running low. It was easier that way.
Her supplier was late.
She was pacing, jaw tight, fingers twitching, trying not to think about it too much.
“Manon!”
The door slammed open.
She flinched hard, spinning around too fast, eyes flashing for a split second before she forced them back.
You.
Her body went still, like she got hit with ice. Your scent hit her immediately, stronger than usual.
“Amore, what are you doing in here?” she said, voice tight, trying to sound normal. “And why are you up? Didn’t you fix your sleep schedule?”
You walked closer anyway.
Manon’s hands clenched at her sides.
“Well… I was wondering if I could sleep with you?”
She raised an eyebrow.
“Not like that!” you rushed, face scrunching. “My room’s freezing and Yoonchae kicked me out, and we usually cuddle, so… yeah.”
You trailed off, already climbing onto her bed like you assumed she’d say yes.
Manon stared at you for a second.
Fuck.
“Stop talking,” she muttered, turning away. “Of course you can.”
You smiled immediately, wrapping your arms around her the second she got close again.
That did not help.
“But first,” she said quickly, pulling away before she did something stupid, “go lay down. I’ll be back.”
She didn’t wait for you to answer. Just walked straight into the bathroom and shut the door.
She gripped the sink hard, staring at herself.
Her eyes flickered again.
“Fuck,” she whispered.
You were in her bed.
And she hadn’t fed.
Her phone lit up. No message.
Still late.
“Of course,” she muttered. “Perfect timing.”
She exhaled slowly, trying to steady herself.
You’re fine. Just lay there. Don’t get too close. Don’t—
A soft knock.
“Manon?” your voice came through the door. “You good?”
She closed her eyes.
Yeah. She was definitely not good.
“Yeah,” she called back, forcing it. “Coming.”
When she stepped back into the room, you were already under her covers, half asleep, arms open like you expected her there.
That did something to her.
Something dangerous.
Manon hesitated for half a second… then climbed in anyway.
The second she laid down, you moved closer without thinking, tucking into her side, arm draping over her waist.
“Cold,” you mumbled.
“Yeah, I noticed,” she said quietly.
Her body was stiff at first.
Then you shifted again, closer this time, your face pressing into her neck, your breath warm against her skin.
Manon froze.
Her hand slowly came up, resting on your back.
You smelled so fucking good.
“Manon…” you mumbled, half asleep, fingers gripping her shirt.
She swallowed.
“Yeah?”
“Why are you so tense?”
Because I want to bite you.
She didn’t say that.
“Just tired,” she lied.
You hummed, not fully believing her, but too sleepy to argue. Your leg tangled with hers, pulling her even closer.
Manon’s control snapped a little.
Her hand slid up your back, slower now, more deliberate. She shifted, turning slightly so you were more under her, her face close to your neck.
She hovered there for a second, breathing you in.
“Manon…?” you whispered, finally noticing something was off.
Her voice dropped.
“Stay still.”
That should’ve scared you.
It didn’t.
Her lips brushed your neck first, soft, barely there. Feeling your pulse.
You sucked in a breath.
“Manon—”
She didn’t stop.
Her grip tightened slightly on your waist, holding you in place as her mouth pressed more firmly against your skin.
Then, she bit.
Not hard enough to hurt badly, but enough.
You gasped, body tensing under her.
For a second, she almost pulled away.
Almost.
But then she tasted you.
Her control slipped completely.
Her hand tightened, keeping you close as she stayed there, breathing uneven, taking just enough, just enough to ease the burn in her throat.
You were shaking a little under her, not pulling away, just… holding onto her shirt.
“Manon…” you whispered, breath unsteady.
That’s what brought her back.
She pulled away immediately, like she got burned, breathing heavy, eyes dark.
“Shit—”
Her hand came up to your neck, checking you, making sure she didn’t go too far.
“You okay?” she asked, voice low, serious now.
You blinked at her, still processing.
“…you just bit me.”
“…yeah.”
Silence.
“…are you gonna explain that shit or what?”
Manon stared at you for a second… then let out a quiet breath, running a hand through her hair.
“Yeah,” she muttered. “I probably should.”
She looked back at you, eyes not even trying to hide it this time.
“Try not to freak out.”
Manon watched your face carefully.
Like she was waiting for you to bolt, or yell. Or shove her off the bed.
You didn’t.
You were still holding onto her shirt.
“…try not to freak out?” you repeated, blinking at her. “You literally just bit me, Manon.”
“Yeah,” she said, jaw tight. “I know.”
Silence stretched for a second.
You slowly pushed yourself up onto your elbows, wincing a little when your neck moved.
Her eyes flicked to it immediately.
“Does it hurt?” she asked.
“A little,” you said honestly. Then squinted at her. “…should I be more concerned about that or the fact that your eyes just did that weird shit?”
Manon huffed out something that almost sounded like a laugh.
“Both, probably.”
You stared at her.
“Manon.”
“Yeah.”
“What the fuck are you?”
She leaned back against the headboard, running a hand down her face like she’d been putting this off for way too long.
“…vampire,” she said flatly.
You blinked.
“…you’re joking.”
She just looked at you.
Your stomach dropped a little.
“Oh.”
“…oh.”
“Yeah,” she said quietly.
You sat there for a second, processing. Looking at her differently now, like pieces were starting to click into place.
The eating thing. The distance. The weird schedule. The way she always felt cold.
“…that actually makes a lot of sense,” you muttered.
Manon’s brows pulled together slightly. “That’s it? That’s your reaction?”
“I mean, what do you want me to do?” you shot back. “Scream? Cry? You’re still you.”
Her expression shifted a little at that.
Something softer. Still tense, but softer.
“…I just bit you.”
“Yeah,” you said, touching your neck again. “We’re gonna circle back to that.”
Manon sighed, dragging her hand through her hair again.
“I didn’t mean to,” she said. “I mean— I did, but not like that. I was trying to hold it together.”
“Hold what together?”
She gave you a look.
“…oh.”
“Yeah,” she said again.
You leaned back against the headboard next to her now, close but not fully touching.
“Is that why you’ve been acting weird lately?” you asked. “Avoiding everyone?”
“Not everyone,” she muttered.
You glanced at her.
She didn’t look at you when she said it.
That made your chest feel weird.
“…me?”
She exhaled through her nose.
“You’re the worst one.”
“Wow. Thanks.”
“Not like that,” she said quickly, finally looking at you. “You’re—” she stopped, jaw tightening. “You smell different.”
You raised an eyebrow.
“Different how?”
She hesitated.
“Stronger,” she said finally. “Warmer, It’s… harder to ignore.”
Your face went a little more serious at that.
“…so you’ve been avoiding me because you wanted to bite me?”
“Yes.”
“Well,” you said, shifting slightly closer again without even realizing it, “you did that already.”
“Yeah, and I shouldn’t have.”
“But you stopped.”
Manon went quiet.
You tilted your head a little, studying her.
“You could’ve done worse, right?”
“…yeah.”
“But you didn’t.”
She held your gaze for a second, something unreadable passing through her eyes.
“…no.”
Another pause.
Then you let out a small breath, leaning back fully this time.
“Okay.”
Manon frowned. “Okay?”
“Yeah. Okay.”
“You’re taking this way too well.”
You shrugged a little.
“I mean… you’re still Manon. You just… bite people sometimes, I guess.”
“Not people,” she said immediately.
You looked at her.
“…so just me?”
She didn’t answer.
That was answer enough.
Your stomach flipped a little at that, but you didn’t pull away.
Instead, you shifted again, closer this time, your shoulder pressing against hers.
Manon tensed immediately.
“What are you doing?” she asked.
“Getting comfortable,” you said. “I’m still cold.”
“You should not be getting closer to me right now.”
“And yet,” you said, settling in anyway, “here I am.”
She stared at you like you were insane.
“You just found out I’m a vampire.”
“And you just found out I don’t scare easy.”
“That’s not—” she stopped, jaw tightening again. “You don’t get it.”
“Then explain it to me,” you said, quieter now.
She looked at you for a long second.
Then her gaze dropped to your neck again.
“…I could lose control,” she said. “Especially if I’m already hungry.”
You followed her gaze, then looked back at her.
“But you didn’t.”
“Barely.”
“Still counts.”
Manon let out a slow breath, clearly frustrated.
“You’re not taking this seriously.”
“I am,” you said. “I just… trust you.”
That hit harder than anything else you’d said.
You could see it.
Her shoulders dropped just slightly, tension shifting into something else.
“…you shouldn’t,” she muttered.
“Too late.”
Silence again.
Then, softer. “Does it… hurt bad?” she asked, nodding toward your neck.
You touched it again, wincing just a little.
“Not really. Just… sensitive.”
Her hand moved before she could stop herself, brushing lightly against the spot.
You inhaled sharply.
Both of you froze.
Manon pulled her hand back immediately.
“…sorry.”
“No, it’s—” you stopped, clearing your throat. “It’s fine.”
Then you looked at her again.
“…are you gonna bite me again?”
Manon blinked.
“…what?”
“I’m just asking,” you said, trying to sound casual and failing a little. “Like, was that a one time thing or…”
Her expression went tight again, eyes darkening slightly.
“You should not be asking me that.”
“But I am.”
She stared at you for a long second.
“…you’re unbelievable.”
“And you’re avoiding the question.”
Manon exhaled slowly, looking away from you.
“…I don’t want to hurt you.”
“That wasn’t really an answer.”
She glanced back at you.
“…I want to,” she said quietly.
Your breath hitched a little.
“But I shouldn’t.”
That hung in the air between you.
You shifted again, just slightly, your knee brushing hers.
“Then don’t,” you said softly. “Not unless you can control it.”
Manon’s jaw tightened.
“…you’re making this very hard.”
“Yeah,” you said, voice quieter now, “you’ve been saying that.”
Another pause.
“…come here,” she muttered.
You didn’t hesitate.
You leaned into her again, slower this time, giving her space to stop you if she wanted.
She didn’t.
Her arm wrapped around you, pulling you in against her chest, holding you there.
This time, when her face dipped toward your neck again, she stopped just before touching you.
Breathing you in.
Holding herself there.
“…see?” you whispered. “You’re fine.”
Manon didn’t answer.
Manon stayed there for a second too long.
Her face was still right at your neck, her breath uneven against your skin. You could feel how hard she was holding herself back.
It made your chest feel tight.
“Manon,” you said quietly.
She didn’t move. “Don’t.”
That should’ve been enough to stop you.
It wasn’t.
“Look at me.”
“…no.”
You pulled back anyway, just enough to force it. Your hand caught her jaw, not rough, but firm enough that she couldn’t just ignore you.
Her eyes met yours.
Not hiding anything now.
“Stop acting like I’m gonna break,” you said.
“I’m not acting,” she snapped. “You don’t get how—”
You cut her off.
You kissed her.
Messy and a little off, like you both moved at the same time and didn’t care enough to fix it.
Manon froze for half a second.
Then she snapped.
Her hand came up fast, gripping your jaw, pulling you back into it harder. The angle was wrong, your teeth knocked slightly, and she didn’t even slow down.
It was rough and desperate.
Like she’d been holding it in way too long.
You made a small sound against her mouth, fingers grabbing at her shirt, and that only made it worse.
Her other hand tightened around your waist, dragging you closer until there was no space left between you.
“Fuck—” she muttered against your lips, but didn’t pull away.
The kiss got messier, less controlled.
She tilted her head, trying to get a better angle, but it just made it more chaotic, breath mixing, lips missing for a second, then finding each other again.
You could feel how tense she still was. Not pulling back, but not fully letting go either.
Like she was fighting herself and losing.
Your hand slid up into her hair, tugging just enough.
Manon’s grip tightened hard, and she kissed you again, deeper this time, a little reckless now.
You broke for air first, barely.
“Manon—”
She didn’t let you finish.
Her mouth dropped from yours, straight back to your neck like it was instinct.
Not biting this time, just pressing there, breathing hard, like she was trying to ground herself.
“See?” she muttered against your skin, voice low, strained. “This is what I meant.”
Your breath was uneven, fingers still twisted in her shirt.
“Then stop.”
“…I’m trying.”
She didn’t move away.
Neither did you.
Manon stayed right there at your neck, breathing like she’d just run a mile.
You could feel it, how close she was to losing it again.
“Manon,” you whispered, fingers still curled in her shirt.
She didn’t answer.
Her grip on your waist tightened instead.
“…you should tell me to stop,” she muttered against your skin.
“Would you listen?”
“…no.”
“Then don’t ask.”
That did something.
You felt it.
Her head tilted slightly, lips brushing your neck again, slower this time, like she was trying to think through it instead of just react.
It didn’t last long.
Her teeth pressed in again.
Another bite, sharper this time, enough to make you gasp and tense under her.
“Fuck, Manon—”
She held there for a second, like she was deciding whether to keep going.
Then she did.
Her hand slid up your side, gripping tighter as she stayed there just long enough.
Then she pulled back fast.
Breathing hard.
Eyes dark.
You were still holding onto her.
“…you okay?” she asked, voice rough.
You swallowed, a little unsteady.
“…yeah.”
Your hand came up to your neck again, wincing slightly.
Manon watched you do it, jaw tight.
“I shouldn’t have—”
You cut her off this time.
You kissed her again.
It hit just as messy as before, no buildup, no warning.
Your hand grabbed her shirt, pulling her forward into it like you needed it.
Manon made a quiet sound against your mouth.
No hesitation now.
Her hand came up to your neck, right over where she bit you, not gentle, just there, holding you in place as she kissed you deeper, rougher.
It was uneven. A little desperate.
Like neither of you knew where to put your hands or how to slow down.
You shifted closer into her, practically in her lap now, and that only made her grip tighten.
“Fuck—” she muttered against your lips again, breath uneven.
You barely pulled back.
“Don’t stop.”
That was a mistake.
Manon’s eyes flicked to your neck again, then back to your lips.
“…you’re gonna regret saying that.”
“Then make me,” you said, already leaning in again.
That was all it took.
She kissed you again, harder, messier, like she gave up trying to be careful.
Her hand slid back to your waist, pulling you flush against her while her mouth moved against yours, a little reckless now.
She broke away just enough to go back to your neck again.
Not fully biting this time, just dragging her teeth lightly over the spot she already marked, enough to make you suck in a breath and tense.
Her lips followed right after, pressing there, slower now.
Bite. Kiss. Pause. Repeat.
You were gripping her tighter now, breathing uneven, trying not to react too much and failing.
“Manon—”
“Still okay?” she asked, voice low against your skin.
“…yeah.”
She let out a quiet breath.
“…shit.”
But she didn’t stop.
Her hand slid lower, tracing the edge of your hip before slipping under your shirt.
Her fingers were warm against your skin, hesitant for just a second before they found their way to the waistband of your pants.
You tensed, breath catching.
Manon paused, her thumb brushing against your stomach.
“Still okay?” she asked again, voice even rougher now.
You couldn’t speak. Just nodded against her.
That was all she needed.
Her fingers dipped lower, teasing you through the fabric before she slipped her hand inside.
The first touch made you gasp, your hips jerking forward involuntarily.
“Fuck—” she breathed against your neck, her other hand tightening on your waist to hold you still.
She didn’t waste time.
Her fingers moved with the same desperation as her kisses, rough, a little clumsy, but so fucking good it didn’t matter.
She found your clit immediately, circling it with just the right pressure to make your legs shake.
“Manon—”
“Yeah,” she muttered, like she knew exactly what you needed. “I’ve got you.”
Her fingers slid lower, gathering your wetness before pressing inside.
One finger first, then two, stretching you just enough to make you arch against her.
She set a rhythm that matched the chaos of your kisses, hard, fast, barely controlled.
You were already so close it was embarrassing.
Every thrust of her fingers hit that spot inside you that made your vision go blurry.
Your hands gripped her shoulders, nails digging in through her shirt as you tried to hold on.
“Look at me,” she said, pulling back just enough to force your eyes open.
They were dark. Hungry. Like she wanted to devour you.
“Come for me,” she said, curling her fingers just right.
Your orgasm hit you hard, your body tensing as waves of pleasure washed over you.
Manon didn’t stop, working you through it until you were trembling and oversensitive, pushing weakly at her hand.
She finally pulled back, breathing hard as she watched you try to recover.
“…you okay?” she asked, voice rough.
You swallowed, trying to catch your breath.
“…yeah.”
Manon watched you for a long moment, her fingers still resting against you.
Then she leaned in and kissed you again, softer this time, but no less desperate.
Like she still couldn’t get enough.
